Wouldn't this keep some more value on the originals? I don't think Boc would like it, I mean who wants to see their fans pay god knows how much for a single record.

Yeah this is what I mean. I think a significant change in artwork would negate part of the reason to repress. Fans who missed it the first time round want the chance to own the product as close as it can be to the original. Serial numbers can be used for anyone who is particularly picky about owning the first batch.

Let's just go to the Winchester, have a pint, and wait for all this to blow over.

i think any changes in artwork/design will be down to Warp cutting corners rather than deliberately making them distinctive to appease/entice the owners of original pressings. Beautiful Place might not have printer inner sleeves, LPs might not be gatefolds, no etching on side F of Geogaddi etc etc, would not be bothered if they went all out to fully replicate the originals though, barcodes or matrix numbers would be different anyway. the originals will always be the most enticing to collectors. their value will take a bit of a hit and then start crawling up again once the reissues sell out.
i will be picking up a black vinyl reissue of Beautiful Place for sure.

Ok, so I made a fairly decent gif of the hexagon-spinning-albums thing. I managed to get it down to 9.7mb (256 colors was the best I could do), but unfortunately I haven't been able to find a single image hosting site where I can upload a gif this big. If you want to gaze at it, shoot me a PM and I'll send you the hotfile link.
Or just lemme know where I can upload it...
EDIT: Well I just figured out I can upload it to my last.fm profile... and that's about it.

I was just saying if they want to sell more repressed vinyls they should release them in a special package, that way the fans who DON'T have the originals will buy the reissues and the fans that DO have the originals will buy the reissues too. Speaking for myself, I won't buy any of the reissues unless the packaging/art is different in some way.
They do it with comic books, when a 2nd printing comes out, it has a different cover most of time, which tempts the first issue buyers to also buy the 2nd printing to add to their collection. DVDs change covers from time to time too. Evil Dead is the most notorious for it. Every time it's been re-released it's had a different cover. There must be like 6 different Evil Dead covers for the same damn DVD haha.

It just HAS to be real. It was taken down when they realized we found it. Its funny, on any given day I bet at least ONE person searches for something (like the op) that would have turned that site up. Don't think they can keep anything from us for too long
Also, all the info listed to just too specific to be someone trolling. But if so, it must be
satan
himself doing that to us

Yeah, this looks pretty legit. Way too much work put in here for it to be a hoax. There are a lot of little details added which would make sense, like black vinyls instead of colored. It seems like boc would want to distinguish the originals from the represses so those who paid a king's ransom for originals in the last few years don't suddenly see their expensive collections devalue.
And a different vinyl masters for Geogaddi and IABPOITC sound intriguing...

Re: Hi Scores, apparently Skam owns it. But they repressed it a few times and it looks like the represses coincided either with new Boards releases or Warp represses so maybe it's due for another repress as well.
