Waiting on a new album, what is it that we all want to know? My bet is on release date (ie d/d/m/m/y/y), or album title, or both. The actual codes might lead us to a URL to find this info, or they may be the info itself.

Who knows.. but I personally think we're wasting our time trying to find meaning in the numbers at this stage. Everything indicates we've been drip-fed each clue/code so far, as others have theorised - it's leading up to a reveal, it's not something that can be cracked.. yet. I'm tending to the view that the codes may have something to do with a one-time pad (as others have thought), in which case we need all 6 codes plus a decryption key. IMHO!

Thanks for making this concluding thread! Bit easier to follow now.

Aaannnnd again for what it's worth here's a rip of the WNYU radio show that played the first record found on RSD with the code 936557. Simply a better quality recording.

Has anyone tried to analyze the NPR file to see if there was anything in the spectrum, a bit a la Aphex Twin on Windowlicker?

Reason I ask is that prior to the NPR transmission the background noise seems different than on all the other ones we have had so far, I tried a bit with Spectrogram but got nowhere fast except a group of lines before the actual music, but it never came out clear as a pack of six...

The slanted lines before are what I am referring to, whereas the "transmission tone" is made of the squigglies. Anyhow, time for bed, it's over to you Europe ;)

what he said
even though discussed....im still with d/d/m/m/y/y or y/y/y/y/m/m
sometimes simpler is better.

Stoked that I woke up today to two new codes!!
Seems quite likely at this point that further codes will come from different mediums given how so far they've used vinyl, radio, and video. Would say twitter perhaps but maybe that would be too obvious.

agree with both of you

gonna point out each sequence has a pair embedded within the number.
wagering each set will be similar

Shortwave radio perhaps? It would fit the numbers stations theme.
(I did mentioned this already in another thread, but I'm not sure where I'm supposed to be posting these things. Sorry for the duplicates).

I'm unashamedly excited about all this!

I'm flying out to Munich tomorrow with friends for the weekend and i'm scared new shit is going to come to light and i'll miss it. This is how obsessed I am about this. I'm suggesting only drinking in beer halls with WiFi.

A SW radio broadcast would be illegal and probably get missed.

Quick question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Conet_ ... sc_Edition

This article used to say "The Conet Project has since become somewhat of a cult sensation", but as of an edit dated April 24th, it now says "The Conet Project xxxxxx/------/------/------/------/------ has since become somewhat of a cult sensation" mean anything?

For reference here is the edit- http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... =551931596

EDIT- Another of the IP's edits added the same sequence to this- http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... =551931870

Oh yeah. Hmm interesting. Although any ole person could have edited it.

Very true. If it's accurate information, that puts the NPR numbers (699742 right, or did I miss something?) in the first box.

i'm leaning towards this being a red herring, but worth noting for now

I think this is a wiki defacement. A bit crude and obvious.

The user is an IP user, which is identified as Charter Communications, North Carolina. A cable tv operator and presumably the user's ISP. The IP is located in Kill Devil Hills of all places.

Somebody posted this on bocpages post:
sorry phone died. just based on the idea that the sum of all six numbers in each slot equals one less than the sum of the preceding slot of six numbers. so far we have --/---/717228/936557/--/519225 so if you add the numbers of each slot you get --/--/9/8/--/6. this new set of numbers equals ten therefore it belongs in the second slot, assuming if this true.
can anybody see how the fuck he reached that conclusion? :P do i have some different idea of waht the word sum means?

useful way to visualize this grid

Code:
   A B C D E F
 1 - - - - - - =
 2 6 9 9 7 4 2 = 33
 3 7 1 7 2 2 8 = 27
 4 9 3 6 5 5 7 = 35
 5 - - - - - - =
 6 5 1 9 2 2 5 = 24

   1 2 3 4 5 6
 A - 6 7 9 - 5 = 27 + ?
 B - 9 1 3 - 1 = 14 + ?
 C - 9 7 6 - 9 = 31 + ?
 D - 7 2 5 - 2 = 16 + ?
 E - 4 2 5 - 2 = 13 + ?
 F - 2 8 7 - 5 = 22 + ?

Should we just assume it's fake then...
