A thread I borrowed from from the NIN forums. Pretty simple, it's where someone names a track and the next poster gives it a rating out of 10 and shares their thoughts about what they think of it, then names another track for the next person.

I'll start: Under The Coke Sign

10/10, I think this is BoC at their best. I think I remember reading an interview in which they described this track as a cacophony of flute samples bounced back and forth between tape recorders. If that isn't cool enough, the track has some of the best percussion they've done, I think.

10/10. A top 5 all time track for me. Fantastic driving tune. Would make nice sex music if it didn't sound better than sex.

I will get it tattooed

I used to enjoy it a lot more but I guess I just got quite tired of it. I'd love to hear it in properly high quality though, to be fair.

8 / 10 - Awesome, right up there with the very best of their earlier music and a personal favourite... The chords are classic BOC and the drumloop is as funky as it gets. Could almost be a 9 / 10 in its own right - but in context, it's different.

One Very Important Thought [take your pick of either Maxima or MHTRTC]

I'm rating this relative to how much I like other BoC tracks. OVIT just doesn't feature amongst the forerunners for me.

you mean the more primitive seven forty seven?

9/10

Great track. Cant tell if I like it more than the released version, but I think 6A just barely beats it out. I like being able to hear all those little things in the background. Something always grabbed me about the drum beat on this song. Some taps seem like they were hit harder than the rest. And the "chorus" starting around 3min is awesome!!!

7/10. A happy song with a funky beat about saying goodbye before starting a new journey.

i enjoy the track but it pales in comparison to the rest of their work.
for some reason m9 reminds me of beverly hills cop or one of those type of movies.

A great Boards track that builds and builds up into a fantastic chrous. Sweet drums too. Definitely one of the better tracks on TCH.
