In January, my football team sold it's best player - totally devastated.
In February - just last week in fact - my favorite rock band split after 13 years - totally devastated.

All I'll say is, March is looking ALOT better already...

how long did it take before the box appeared and the moment an official announcement was issued the previous time this happened?

Yes because they are using the same empty square they used for Campfire Headphase back in 05

Well the first mention of The Campfire Headphase was in this thread

Aug 10, 2005
http://www.twoism.org/forum/viewtopic.p ... +headphase

But speculation of it (without a title) was full force around Jun of 05 and the album came out in mid Oct 05.

Nah, they knew we'd be all over this. It's ridiculous really, but I do think this is a deliberate and calculated first 'proper' step towards announcing something significant. Crazy isn't it?

This is really encouraging. 2011 is shaping up to be a vintage year for music if new BoC is on the way.

I'm not normally prone to speculation like this, but y'know - it's the 1st of march, spring is in the air, I'm leaving a job I don't like on Friday, I've got a little Northern_Soul on the way, I'm setting up my own business: life= pretty good. A new dose of BoC-shaped psychedelia would fit in very nicely...

on July 15 2005, there was an announcement on the boc & warp websites and newsletter for a new album. There might have been an empty box at the time, not sure. On August 10, an email from warp records was sent and the artwork and details were revealed.
http://www.twoism.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=90

on Feb 20 2006, someone posted that there was an empty box on the website and i remember seeing it as well. http://www.twoism.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=454

then on March 15 2006, music70.com announced a new EP, with Warp confirming 2 days later.
so, we may only have to wait a month or so for more details. I think its real news since I (and others) have seen this happen before....

Biggest surprise about tonight? No speculation about today's date. Surely it's obvious - if you multiple it by the weight, in ounces, of Mike's woolly hat and/or beard, you find that it's either:

a) the release date
b) 27
c) a turquoise hexagon
d) Colin Firth in The King's Speech.

I was a bit confused why it came out the same either way, until I remembered that his woolly hat was made from his own beard.
