Yup, it is that time of year again.
What are your thoughts on Christmas music?
I can tell you, when I was in my 20's and working retail, I could not stand it. It felt like hell on Earth.
Now though, the thought of driving around town with my wife, seeing the gaudy lights on people's houses and businesses, enduring the colder weather... it brings me joy. It is cozy. I am not sure if it comes down to getting older, no longer caring about the meaningless claptrap I cared about when I was younger, or what. Does anyone else get this feeling?
Consider this. We all know radio stations are bought and paid for and everything we hear on them is played solely on the basis of making money. I would honestly rather endure 1.5 months of the same holiday tunes over and over than have to listen to any of the demographically chosen 'classics' and top 40 nonsense that is shoved down our throats ad nauseam the rest of the year. I actually consider this kind of a break.
My god, what happened to me?!
