Everything John Coltrane. Recently read two books about him and now I'm having an interesting time listening to the progression of his sound. Trying to figure out what he was up to from a non-musician's standpoint is not easy, but worth the effort.
Aside: I bet the Brothers Sandison could probably talk a lot about Rudy Van Gelder's studio, perhaps even visited?

That guitar riff definitely reminds me of BoC too. Sounds like he was riffing along to some BoC shit and was like "Hey, this works." Good song.
