Sleeping Dog - Adam Wiltzie/Chantal Acda

OK, so no two ways about it, this should be simply incredible.

Adam Wiltzie (one half of Stars of the Lid) and Chantal Acda - who last teamed up back in 2004 to release the incredible 'The Dead Texan' LP are at it again. (EDIT: my bad. Chantal had nothing to do with Dead Texan! That was Christina Vantzou. Doh!)

Their new project, Sleepingdog is about to drop it's debut album on Gizeh Records (not Kranky!?!?) and from the sample tracks on the website it's going to be amazing.

The title is 'With Our Head in the Clouds and Our Hearts in the Fields' and the clear 12" vinyl is looking especially good value at a mere £11.

To complete the good news, they're supporting Low on some UK/Euro dates in May.
The bad news? I can't make it as I'll be touring the States at the time.

Deeply touching. He loved to see the world through his camera is amazingly beautiful.

Edit: I've just listened to that song about 6 times in a row. And this is very close to (if not) the most beautiful I've ever heard. I've got goosebumps all over. I feel so fullfilled now for some reason.

Those shots are lovely. The last one looks like the rings of Saturn! Sooooooo glad I invested in the vinyl. Also appreciated the download code for MP3 and FLAC too, although I've also dropped the vinyl down onto tape too.

Man I truly love this record. Seriously folks - miss this and miss out.

Wow - thanks for sharing that vid Fredd-e. Just breathtaking, truly.

I think Adam Wiltzie had it right, much as I love A Winged Victory.. (and I really do), I think SleepingDog just pips it to album of the year for me. IF BOC ever choose to break that taboo and add vocals, they could do a lot worse than Chantal Acda. Beautiful.
