How did you first hear about Boards of Canada?

Mon Nov 29, 2004 10:00 pm

I was visiting the personal website that the webmaster of greenplastic.com has and I looked at the music he listened to...Boards of Canada was one of them....I listened to a few samples on Amazon.com...then I bought Geogaddi not really knowing what to expect....and it's been nothing but love ever since...

I found a copy of "music has the right to children" with no case and no title on the cd. maybe forgotten by a guy, it was at university during the squatting. i spent a lot of time to discover something about this ethereal music, new for me.
that's all, but it's a true, amusing story.

I accidentally downloaded some BoC quite some time ago, now it's just a part of my music collection.

A very important part!

Tue Dec 07, 2004 12:00 am

It was quite obvious ;)

Mon Dec 20, 2004 4:45 pm

i accidently heard something about BoC on slsk and downloaded "music has the right to children" :D

Awhile ago I was downloadig a bunch of Portishead, and aquarius was labled as Portishead, so I wanted to find some sort of lyrics, and I found out the BoC were the true artists.. and then of course I have been in love with BoC ever since! :)

Tue Dec 21, 2004 8:34 pm

it´s funny to see that some discovered BoC by coincidence

Thu Dec 23, 2004 2:12 am

indeed... i had this subconcious voice telling me how i need to listen to boards, before i even had the chance to get the internet.

i remember buying this issue of future music where they had warp records rewiew...ahh sweet memories.

I was flying on the wings of my blue bird when i saw the 'tle heart of a young child that was saying BOARDS OF CANADA. I though that was very very strange but i decided not to give to much importance to this message because canadians stink, because 'tle hearts suck and overall because i don't like chyldren. So i went back to my invicible blue bird (i'm not sure he is really invicible but i like to think he is) ready to live new adventures in hifi and sure not to hear anymore about those canadian shelves because i decided to definitly close my eyes to little hearts. But every were we went, every place we explore, my rifle, my blue bird and me, we met those two things : perfect circle & boards of canada.
Well my good friends that's the story. You now know the friend of ulysse and tambien how i heard about and became familiar with the name "boards of canada". Maybe tomorow i will explain you how i became familiar with the acronym BoC, but that's another long story and i need to improve my english to tell it to you.
