me and my friend were just looking for cheap horror movies and i saw the deluxe version
of 'guero' on the shelf. I didn't have a lot of money but even if i did i don't think i'd fork out 30 or so euros just to hear the remix... although it would be quite tempting.

It's weird how i can't find it online anywhere...Someone must have ripped it already somewhere!
Please someone when you do get your hands on it, post a link here!
I will, promise.

the remix finally came out the cave!
a lil review:
it starts of with a reversed lo-fi sound of the piano and slowly comes into full stereo.
the drums seem to be sampled from real instruments which gives an warm feeling and the usual boc soundmark.
seems like beck really knew what he was doing because boards of canada and him are a perfect match.
his voice perfectly glides over the theme they produced...reversed guitars, birdies sing and distorted lo fi pianos.
listening on repeat for an hour already.

i hate it and hope to like it oneday. better tomorrow will be that date.
rubbish vocals and what an exitingless instrumentation. sounds like they scraped 3 layers of dust of their old machines. same thing as with the rubbish hiphop remix. hope they are not going to sing themselves on the new record

I did'nt really like it at first either but it's really grown on me. I think Sandsings, Trapped, and Dead Dogs Two are probably my favorites.
I wish I could get an instrumental version of Broken Drum. I was never a huge Beck fan, but give it a few more listens and maybe you'll discover something you've been missing.

I reckon the last 2 minutes of the BOC Broken Drum remix counts amongst some of the best music I've ever heard - reverb laden, microtonal amazingness!

I dislike Beck a lot, but I bought the dvd set, JUST for the BoC track.
