I don't buy it at all. I can't imagine BoC/their representatives even thinking about making a tumblr, for one, and it looks pretty not-them. Like, I know they don't really have a definitive style when it comes to making websites and such.. but I just get that "this is definitely not genuine BoC" feel.

The URL still exists though? And why did you name it "official" in the first place when it's basically fan made?

i suppose it's sort of hard to explain to people who don't 'tumblr', but i named it thusly simply because i could and for the purpose of saving the url. then one day with a spurt of creativity i decided to make some gifs, and i wanted somewhere to post them that wasn't my main blog, and i put them there. then it caught on.

no i made them all.. but i mean, there's not a lot of material to use really is there ha... especially the opening blips on dayvan cowboy and the boards of canada + logo from invocation, not exactly easy to differentiate from 2 different gifs is it...

well i suppose the easy way to differentiate mine from those are that mine are a lot bigger!

edit: also my dayvan cowboy blips one also has the earth in a few of the frames toward the end

But please don't feel attacked by this matter. I'm just pointing out the oddities here.

You gotta admit people are very skeptic when it comes to anything "official boc" related. Microscopic research work is to be expected.
