Since the other post is locked, I am making a new one. Sorry.

Can anyone tell by looking at the back of their equipment what they are playing? I can't.

From the first picture on the bottom left it's video equpment. You can see a SCART lead coming out.

Above that I guess it's SCSI disk drive and it seems to be plugged into the box on the bottom right which looks like an Akai sampler (distinctive cream colour) although I can't pin down which one. Above that is anyone's guess and on top is I believe a Soundcraft Spirit Folio mixer.

Pretty standard and pretty boring really. No secret weapons.

Maybe I should have put pics in my thread!

Yeah, Akai samplers in both pics I do believe (white cases).

Aw hell, people have marked them up so just take a look at those :)

I doubt their "secret weapon" would ever leave their studio(s) and would primarily be used in recording/sampling.

Didn't someone on here post what they thought their secret wepon was?

Yeah, I was going to post it in your thread, but it says it's locked.

I really hope that their "secret weapon" is that ice-cream-tub turned Leslie cabinet as mentioned in the Remix article.

You can pretty much hear a rotary/Leslie effect on every track.

But I'm sure it's something more sneakier than that.

It has to be a tape machine or tape delay of some sort. Or maybe some kind of "bag of quick aging" that they can drop their separate tracks in.

Whatever it was, on the archived Matador site, it says they bought it for $100 (whatever currency it is).
