But I actually wrote on here somewhere that my two wishes-not predictions- for what could come out of the VHS mystery (remember not knowing?) were a flexi vinyl sent out in a nat'l geographic format art magazine (ok, not quite), and any official new music on a tape format. Had to do it. Too late to look back now. Press play!

Based on my experience with releasing tapes, I'm guessing this was manufactured by BandCDs. They use type 1 as far as I know, but with a client like this the accessibility for options is probably unlimited.

I grew up buying and listening to tapes, but once CDs became standard, I never looked back. I remember having a copy of Beastie Boys' Check Your Head and playing it so much it wore out, which IIRC, didn't take all that long to happen. I soon replaced it with a CD and I think I still have it somewhere. I get the appeal of vinyl, CD, digital files, but the cassette revival doesn't make sense to me.
Are cassettes purchased mostly as a piece of merch to collect, or do people really enjoy the format?
