Well, yes, I don't suppose a record label, in general, has much income other than from what comes in from the sales of their artists' work and it's crap how little the artist sees from those sales but on the other hand the record label is meant to take away all the boring crap like promotion, marketing, getting gigs or whatever else, so it's almost a two way street.
