Right now :

#1 Geogaddi
#2 Tomorrow's Harvest
#3 Music Has the Right to Children
#4 The Campfire Headphase

I need to listen to the eps in greater detail, but for me it would probably be something like :

#1 Peel Session
#2 In a beautiful place out in the country
#3 Hi Scores
#4 Twoism
#5 Trans Canada Highway

#1 Geogaddi
#2 Campfire Headphase
#3 Tomorrow's Harvest
#4 MHTRTC

EPs...

#1 Trans-Canada Highway
#2 IABPOITC
#3 Twoism
#4 Skam

I'm not much a fan of MHTRTC to be honest. I like it when everything kinda shares a theme-MHTRTC doesn't.

TCH > Geogaddi > MHTRTC > Twoism > TH

EP's : TCH EP > Hi Scores > IABPOITC (In A Beautiful Place is still amazing, but TCH EP kinda resonates with me more)

Right now:

LPs:

1. MHTRTC
2. Geogaddi / TH (can't decide really)
3. TCH

EPs:

1. IABPOITC
2. Twoism
3. TCH

Old stuff:

1. R35TT
2. Maxima
3. OTV2
4. OTV1

so tough to decide between OTV1 and 2. I think OTV2 is more solid top to bottom, OTV1 has higher highs and lower lows.

Its a freakin great album but for me, its up their with the rest of them, even the unofficial ones (which i love massively)

Campfire Headphase > MHTRTC > Geogaddi > Tomorrow harvest

I love every BoC album, but TCH is the best

I think TH is basically as good as any of BoC's previous official albums (my personal favorites are Boc Maxima and the Old Tunes). The only "problem" is that TH is so incredibly, endlessly bleak and depressing and dark, that it's difficult for me to listen to very often anymore. I had it on repeat when it was released of course, but over time somehow its darkness has become more apparent and it's almost too frightening to listen to late at night, for example. I just did listen to it late last night in fact, the first listen in a while, and I was left with an eerie feeling clinging to me for several hours. I love the 80's VHS aesthetic though, it's perfectly executed. I also love how each album of theirs is like a different chapter, with a completely unique aesthetic and concept all the while having the same overarching BoC 'style.' Factor in the mindblowing depth and care put into each work, and they're like the musical equivalent of Stanley Kubrick.

Also, as someone with partial synaesthesia, I find TH to be one of the most evocative BoC albums. Every song evokes specific colors, images, feelings, sensations.

TH is my most playable BOC album, I love it, really, I think it's their best album.
The A side is more like EP, it has 4 different tracks but, without transition, but all in very same vibe, feels more raw to me. B has some military paranoia theme, and the C is very weird, which I still try to connect in my mind, except maybe Sundown which I find straight and calmning. And if New Seeds is some kind of building new future, ideas, Come to Dust is how you can destroy it all!

1. The Campfire Headphase
2. Music Has the Right to Children
3. Geogaddi
4. Twoism
5. Tomorrow's Harvest

^ lel@Twoism higher than TH

1. MHRTC
2. TH
3. Geogaddi
4. TCH
5. IABPOITC
6. Twoism

Tue Dec 31, 2013 10:10 pm

hmm... not counting unofficial stuff:

1. Tomorrow's Harvest
2. The Campfire Headphase
3. Music Has the Right to Children
4. Trans Canada Highway
5. Geogaddi
6. Twoism
7. In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country

But the first 3 are pretty interchangeable I guess, it just depends on my mood. That's whats great about BoC, each of their albums is a whole different aural world with its own unique aesthetic and concept.

Personally, I don't quite get why everyone ranks Geogaddi so high. It definitely has a bunch of incredible songs, but it also has a decent amount of "filler" tracks or stuff that just does little for me, and the flow of it overall feels less cohesive than their other albums somehow. I think TH does the dark apocalyptic atmosphere a lot better.

TH feels more like a prophecy then Geo is like a discovery. This 3 albums, MHTRTC and Geo, more loveable depends on your mood, I love that Geo have a lot of little tracks, especially in the second part of the album, it's twist your mind in a special way
