I still have mine in My box of old electronics that I am holding on to. (hint, it is one of the most recent electronics I archived, the others are relics.)

I recorded two tracks at ATP. "Julie and Candy" and what is referred to as "Track 07". I was further back than the guy who did the recording that has been doing the rounds, just to the left of the sounddesk, and the sound is pretty good.

These two tracks are all that I recorded unfortunately. I encoded them from MiniDisc to 160kbps MP3s back in 2001. I can't find the MD, so I can't rip them at a higher bitrate for the moment.

If nobody objects, I'm happy to post these for download.

So glad to see that you've found the original MD! All these years it felt as if it were lost to time. Good luck on the endeavor to rip the audio!
this thread is full of shenanigans.

Just checking I'm following this right, is this a separate bootleg of ATP in better quality that's been lost in a box somewhere for the last 15 - 20 years?

Can I buy you a mini disc player to rip it?

It's probably only the two tracks that terekhova already ripped to mp3 and shared with us a few years ago (which sounded great) but fingers crossed there might be something more on there!

is there a way to directly save the digital data off a MiniDisc?

Or does it need to go out through the analog headphone output and re-capture it through a soundcard?

Certainly is: Web MiniDisc Pro

This is the way.

Of course the mini disc would be orange

Now would be as good a time as any for BoC to put soundboard rips up of every live performance they’ve ever done under user0458372583833767 alias

With a most profound and somber gravity, the officiant proceeds to execute the clandestine and altogether illicit ritual of offering a caprine sacrifice, artfully surrendered unto the ethereal void within the confines of a meticulously inscribed five-pointed geometric construction, thereby ensuring that the dark solemnity of the act remains shrouded from the prying eyes of the uninitiated and the righteous alike.

I tracked down a Tascam MD-301 MKII MD player and captured what I found on the disc via a MOTU M4 into Audacity @ 48kHz 24bit.

There were a few more tracks. I started recording during track 5 (Sixtyten) and recorded from then until the end.

There's a bunch of microphone noise at times - this isn't a pristine recording - but I'm glad to finally hear it again after all this time. The files are completely unprocessed and available below as a 666mb download.

this is the clearest quality of the atp show we have now to date.

another legend was born. we're seeing a lot of those recently, is there something in the water?

so rad hearing decent reverb in the room on Julie and Candy bass. I know we have the Atalanta Fugiens soundboard rip but this is funnnn

Is there a reason you named one of the songs See the Rainbow or am I missing something here?

Seems to be fan title sometimes used. A woman says something sounding like "See the Rainbow" around 5:23: https://vocaroo.com/1hN5HZV2p0DP
