A website where people write about music. That's it. I don't see why that makes allot of people bleed out of their ears.

Agreed. I quite like it actually, bar the odd awful, awful article.

Just out of interest, how to people keep up to date with music on the net?

and this place. :)

I feel nothing, positive or negative, towards Pitchfork. Kinda how I feel about NME.com (I was always a Melody maker reader).

Not far wrong actually. And yeah, I always thought MM was the better of the two.

Me too. Mostly because at the time I was a massive Nirvana fan and Everett True was always getting exlusive interviews with em. NME always seemed,...contrived ? I dunno.

"holly's demo hell" was great, never did once read a review of a tape she actually liked. wonder if she ever got an old BoC tape? Bet she'd regret chucking that out. Saucy minx.

Pitchfork still sucks

Their eletronic music reviews are nice though. :)

Sometimes you find some decent music on there, but a majority of the time it's just absolutely pretentious and absurd.

I'm sorry, that's just my opinion.

Pitchfork always struck me as being like NME - too obsessed with the image of what they're supposed to like? Sometimes they come up with some good reviews, but if the best they can do is just not annoy me, then I'll stick to blogs and places like this to get music recommendations.

Because if you can impose your your tastes on someone else and they change because of it, that means you are right and they are wrong, this is what is most important.

If you can be told what you can see or read, then it follows that you can be told what to say or think. Defend your constitutionally protected rights. No one else will do it for you. Thank you.

Ha! Way off topic, but I was always NME over Melody Maker.... despite that minx Holly and her demo hell. NME had Swells and Johnny Cigarettes.... Both very entertaining. And as for Brian Hirst (he saw them first).....
