I am pretty deadset on having this in my hands a few days early, so I hope the digital download hits when the Japanese version does. I really want to make a day of listening to this on June 6th!

I ordered from bleep, and if we don't get the digital download when the Japanese version is out I'm still going to listen. Surely it will be uploaded by someone.

I found a janky old children's building block while digging in the garden. Think that might be a clue? Feck man, I got nothin'.

I remember when I first saw that cosecha video and the word "tomorrow" came up and I was like "omg omg tomorrow?!!!" Sigh.

Just a small plug for anyone who wants some reading material and has a few minutes to kill, I've just finished a lengthy blog entry about my experience of the Record Store Day incident and the subsequent buildup to the TH announcement :)

No doubt - I think half of my posts are from the last few weeks! There wasn't too much to say for a very long time after TCH...

What if it sucks?

It can't.

Right?

I mean okay, they've had their high points and their...less high points, but there's no way this album can suck is there? I'm actually worried about it. I've been disappointed by various releases so much so far this year.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Jacquard Causeway DON'T LET ME DOWN!

I do have more faith that it will be great than anything. :D

It's just hard to get that little shred of cynicism out of the way sometimes.

What if it rules so much all our brains melt? But seriously, I'm sure there will be people who are let down by it and others who love it. Not everyone was into geogaddi or tch at first. I know geogaddi is when a lot of people became fans, but back when it came out there were a lot of people who hated it, now most people pick it as their favorite album. You never can tell.

I bet even the people who are let down are gonna realize that they love it a few months later. Boards of Canada is known for doing that as well.

I'm actually kinda hoping that I don't really get it on a first listen. Like many people at the time I didn't click with Geogaddi at first. I remember thinking "where are the tunes?" because there weren't standouts like Roygbiv or Aquarius or Kid For Today. It took a while longer to sink in. Even now, if I make a compilation of BoC for someone, I find it almost impossible to isolate tracks from Geogaddi and sit them alongside tunes from MHTRTC, TCH or any other EP tracks.

I don't necessarily want Tomorrow's Harvest to sound like Geogaddi but I'm hoping that similarly it demands to be listened to as a whole to really appreciate it. I've every confidence that the melodic and textural traits that we love about BoC will be there, maybe upfront or maybe to be discovered through repeat listens.

Comparisons with Daft Punk are just, er, daft. :) The two are poles apart in style, attitude, everything!

I don't think this is going to be a bad album. Every release they've put out so far was good.. so why not one that they worked on for 7-8~ years?
