the 1992 clip is a mashup between semena, sick times (10 sec mark) and red moss (fanfare sample)

There's also some piano from a Tortoise remix in there.

I feel like Closes and Hooper Bay are probably floating around the internet in plain sight, after this.

I'm certain that a good chunk of Closes Vol.1 is on R35TT.

Just like Acid Memories and Play By Numbers, it would be easy to tell if Hooper Bay was around because you'd hear Circle in its entirety on the release. It's very hard to make fake releases when there's legit samples of music provided by the band floating around.

I'm pretty sure the compiler of R35TT went out of their way to avoid including those samples in what was selected for the collection.

Luckily I'm only human. I had my doubts wether to post it. That's why it took a while before you saw it on bocpages. Now I wish I hadn't posted it in the first place. But in the end that's just part of running a fan site and trying to keep on top of things, even rumors which turn out to be fake. It's not the end of the world. ;-)

Agreed.
Don't worry Fredd - most of us actually appreciate what you do man

I'm sure you're right. I'd just love to know which songs are which!

Seems like the Youtube channel is a confirmed fake now, since the Houston tape was confirmed fake.

That music that was found through the hex in that Hell Interface pic on the other hand...

Heh, and it was posted by our friend bailenantrodach in 2009. The rabbit hole goes deeper.

Bizarre little sample. It songs like it needs to be slowed down. It has the resident choppy sample sound, but what is it? And what is Silicon Filter Grail? An album?

I found the words, "Hell Interface Silicon Filter Grail" in the hex view of the Hell Interface icon which led to a clip of a song called "Woah" being discovered.

I didn't get it. What do you mean? What profile pic?

Do you mean http://www.last.fm/music/Marcus+Eoin/+images/46273761 ? "Official picture
Added by Marcus Eoin on 11 May 2010"

Pretty sure Boards has claimed that page and added it there.

Which image did you find this in? I looked at the soundcloud and lastfm logos but that message isn't in either.

It is in the Last.fm picture too. I looked with Irfanview.

Btw, why do you all call it 'logo'? It looks like a face to me. :P

exactly, if this "logo" is actually the photo (manipulation) of the face, that's not a logo lads. Nitpicky bout these things ha

The words were in the hex view of the Hell Interface creepy face.

yeah that woah track is super weird. it also sounds absolutely nothing like boards of canada, though they have used that cut-up vocal method before i guess. is there any way you can find out who uploaded it?

I don't know why people aren't more interested in this. Maybe there have been too many false alarms lately but this last.fm mystery is still intriguing to me. There seems to be a connection between the dude who uploaded the Sandrail song and BoC, however fuzzy it may be. Perhaps it will just be another dead end like redmoon..
