I'm just popping in to say that I find all of the handwringing over whether we are being too intrusive a bit silly! I'm 5 years younger than the Bros (so of an age where social media was not a thing when I was growing up). However, I did grow up on the internet, but even I barely have a social media presence. No instagram, no facebook, and I only have a twitter account to follow BoC happenings.

When people have social media accounts, I strongly believe that others are free to look into them as much as possible - and those who own the accounts are free to engage or ignore as much as they want. Marcus has his reasons for having the account, and him setting it to private is a clear message that "this isn't a part of the game, guys." I respect that. But noone in here is posting addresses or company names or family members or anything like that. No one is crossing a line. We are all intense fans but this forum does seem to be really respectful of the brothers' idiosyncrasies, and i appreciate that.

Hell Interface uploaded a new profile picture on Facebook that looked like a "demon" or "alien" version of Whitney Houston on April 5th. On the same day, they updated their banner photo to the mysterious "Pioneer Plaque" that was uploaded to the Hell Interface YT channel in September I believe.

Then two days ago on April 7th, both the profile picture and the banner are completely black with both photos no longer on the page.

There was also a video that was uploaded that contained a scene from 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' with the nazi melting but it was edited with 'I Got You (I Feel Good)' by James Brown playing.

Sorry to keep editing but figured I would put you in the loop if you have not noticed that a fan video of "Heard From Telegraph Lines" was uploaded to Boards Of Canada official Facebook page yesterday. There's been an awakening, or so it seems.

Honestly, I haven't felt this disconnected with this community since I started lurking here 10 years ago. To me, it seems so obvious that boc wouldn't start a marketing campaign by posting a crappy video of a melting wax head singing James Brown on Facebook of all places. I can't imagine how other fans of my favorite band would buy that being the start of an ARG or something. I mean I know some of you were the ones who bought into the Opothecary stuff too, but this a bit rich for my blood.

To me, it is lore. Hope you can find some optimism. I do agree that a lot of the ideas being thrown out there are a stretch, but nevertheless, a lot of the peculiar activity is captivating.

BoC uploaded a fan video of a slowed down version of "Heard From Telegraph Lines" to their Facebook page yesterday. Moderator Fredd-E made a reference to that song in this thread the day before, which may or may not be coincidence.

Marcus Eoin's official twitter updated their profile banner to a new image of Emirates 747 airplanes crossing over a blue sky of hexagons, alluding to the Scottish flag.

Marcus' alleged personal Instagram was being followed by some people here, who mentioned it and that account subsequently cut ties with everything and went into private.

The Whitney Houston profile pic was found to be the same as the YT channel "Sheoul Boundary" profile pic, but with colors inverted. That channel was mentioned here back in 2013, and recently (not sure how recently) had their profile banner updated to the same Pioneer Plaque banner as the Hell Interface YT channel banner. "Sheoul Boundary" can be loosly translated to mean the same thing as Hell Interface.

Didn't know about that song! That'd be the second Joni Mitchell reference, first one being Mike Sandison's "Golden in Time" tweet from November (unless I'm missing other recent references).

I think some of the speculation is far fetched, but it is by no means unwarranted. I keep going back to the Red Moon image / cypher in 2006. BoC have provided peculiar, crazy clues in the past which almost none of their fans could even figure out! Nobody deciphered the correct coordinates for that Red Moon event until after the event occurred.

BoC will do crazy shit, and as a result I am certain they know their fans are going to follow the breadcrumbs. They have explicitly mentioned Robert Anton Wilson, as well as Discordianism as influences. That "philosophy" is all about enjoying and promoting disorder and providing clues that may end up going nowhere. It also employs false histories and / or lists of influences or works that don't actually exist (think Mike and Marcus' favorite tracks lists that don't exist, or perhaps even some of their pre-twoism releases?)

That's why I mentioned, pages back, the image I have in my mind of M&M smiling mischievously as they work in their studio. I think they are both fully aware of what their fans may investigate - but *I* am also fully aware that some of these 'clues' or 'breadcrumbs' may not mean anything at all. I do think something's in the works for this year - but also the very real possibility that the current 'activity' is a red herring meant to engage fans in a discordian way.

The Sheol Boundary video is strange, if it indeed was made by BoC it's almost like they're taking the piss out of someone trying to break down their melodic tendencies, I could be wrong but that's how I interpreted it.

I mean it's not that much of a lead is it? That account's only activity was years ago and it was only mentioned recently by coincidence unless I'm misremembering. However the profile picture and banner are suspicious... Fuck maybe it is a lead idk. I have no idea where it could take us though. Whether it is or isn't. Our current state remains the same... Wait here for new activity.
