Wait.. it wasn't just me? I broke down in tears because I was so on the mark I swear I did everything right. What is happening?

Congrats!!! I got secured tickets for the 20:15 but then it 404'd on the next step. Next thing I know it's sold out :(

I have updated my avatar to commemorate this event.

On the London waitlist but not hopeful. Enjoy the show, @fujee

I wish with these things they were an actual lottery of randomly selected winners for tickets rather than a stressful bunfight of 404 errors and Cloudflare issues.

Entered code, selected tickets, all ready to go - then got this page which said Browser Working with a tick, Cloudflare Working with a tick, then tickettailor Host Error with a big red cross. It took me back to the start and then I was number 80 in the queue, and then it got sold out. I kind of miss the days of queueing at the record shop.. at least you knew where you stood - literally! Ah well, don't feel so entitled as to think I deserved a ticket somehow, but getting kicked out because they basically don't have the processing power is a kick in the nether regions! No biggie, but hope not too many people had the same experience. Enjoy to all those who got them!

same here, feel mugged off

Unfortunately this is the way of things in the current internet era. No one it seems has come up with a proper way to circumnavigate technical issues, bots and the like. We need something in general to make the high demand events fairer and clearer for people but can't blame BoC for that, this is an issue across the whole live event world!

On another note, does anyone know if the products / t-shirts were the same ones as on the Bleep store, or do they look specific to the listening party?

Entirely agree with this.

Haven't seen photos of them, not sure if the site showed a photo, but it says eg "London Listening T-Shirt" on the order: Image

You can only collect them at the event.

I'm blaming BOC for knowingly dispersing the live event tickets on a platform prone to crashes and f**k ups. A far fairer way would have been entering your code into a raffle then it being announced at a specific time. This has created a lot of bad feels for the community as you can see.

I expected a bunfight and started with no expectation of tickets. Had the stress of 404 and Cloudflare errors, too.

It was just that little moment when I got to the purchase page where my hopes were raised - only to be dashed moments later. That's the pain from this process.

Still, it'll be me and the record player on 29 May, just like old times (June 2013 to be precise).

I gave up trying for Glasgow tickets at 11:07, but my wife kept going on the laptop and got 2 for the 8:30 show at about 10 past. That was a rollercoaster.

Somehow managed to snag a ticket and t-shirt after 10 minutes of constant refreshing, opening multiple tabs, 404 errors and queues, feeling incredibly lucky..

There was a small image of the t-shirts when adding to basket, couldn't quite make out the design though, looked mostly black with some sort of light coloured text on the front (not very helpful I know)

same, timed it bang on and had the same experience.

I know that's how it is these days, but those cloudfare errors are a kick in the balls when you're told your place is secure. Massive thumbs down

Was able to get past the queue for both slots on the London venue as soon as the page started properly redirecting and it was immediately sold-out. A single minute hadn't pass before it got sold out.
I'm not disappointed at not getting a ticket, I'm perfectly aware it's impossible to meet all the demand, but all of this was very poorly organised and a massive disrespect for such a loyal fanbase.

It'll be entirely Warp's doing. The brothers will have a say in artistic matters. Everything else - logistics, distribution etc - will be label managers.

Wildfire wrote:What a shit show that was. Very disappointing.

The companies who run these online sales (and I don't mean Warp or BOC, I mean the 'delivery partners' or 'third party event management vendors') know for sure that certain events like Taylor Swift or Oasis or BOC will have exceptionally high demand. The first-come-first-served model just means that the company itself creates a massive DDOS on its own site.

It might be more fair (and easy to engineer I suspect) if your access code is time stamped when you first access the site. From a cursory search for 'Internet Time Resolution' :

"Precision Time Protocol (PTP): Used where higher precision is required, such as in financial trading or industrial automation, offering sub-microsecond or even nanosecond-level accuracy."

Now I do think that it is overkill to require us all to have access to satellites and a freaking time-machine to buy tickets for a show. However, if one makes big hype and bestows limited access to an event, give people a chance to take part fairly and hopefully use the tools we have to get access to something they feel is important to them. If there are any software engineers/network developers here, can you explain to an idiot (me) some of the factors that could improve situations like this? :} Even if a company "books" high Precision Time Protocol access for a few hours it might simplify or streamline the experience for users. At least people might know where they stand if they have a message saying 'your access is in 45 seconds' or '3 minutes' rather than just a 504 or 'this page is busy right now' message.

I don't understand how I was meant to win that. It told me to join a fucking waiting list. It never even presented the option to purchase a ticket. Honestly, I am giving up. That was that. Oh well.

Well..at least I tried haha....logged on in plenty of time, hit the button at 11:am on the dot, was 800th in the queue eventually got to refreshed out and put on a waiting list but checked elsewhere and found out it was sold out. I'm not that suprised giving how realitvley small the venue was but still haha. Gonna do my Plan B of listeting to the album on my mp3 on a montain at sunset! :D :D

Re: Inferno Listening Parties - 22/5/2026

Sold out by the time I got to the front of the queue (London). TBH didn't expect to get tickets though

You have to remember these things aren't designed to give fans an advance listen. They're designed to create "buzz", and in the mind of a marketer someone getting in is way riskier than ten people not getting in. Cos if someone gets in and hears the album and only kind of likes it, that's a problem. Ten people not getting in are CONVINCED that they're missing out on something awesome. Kinda cynical, but that's marketing!
