Well of course that would be awesome, however I for one do not have a drum room with a high end kit set up. I think we might all love that.TrippyTrinity wrote:It sounds like a whole lot of trouble to sample and resample when you can just do a live take like they did with Dawn Chorus.
Hmm, sampling is what I like to do. It gives you 100% control over it. You can do some really neat stuff. Plus, I am pretty sure BoC samples just about everything, if not everything.TrippyTrinity wrote:I'm a stickler for some real drums other wise the music comes off too robotioc with everyone running to the drum samples and drum machines set to high BPM's.
Real drums always have a better sound dry, but when you're sampling and effecting that much, you can actually get some very good results a lot of the time. It won't replace it, by any means but it all depends on what sound you're going for. And, the high BPM, that's just the programmer, I am with you in the slower downtempo stuff.

A Casio CTK-573, edited heavily with Audacity. I've had a lot of practice.

1. Learning is never a waste.
2. I think most of us did it for fun and practice; mixes, sound creation etc etc etc,
3. And what's the big deal? If you don't like them then simply don't come to the thread. Problem solved!
