As I noted in another topic, the rip that's floating around has this song at 3:16. Anyone with the actual album, is there anything of note in that final 14 seconds? Or is just a longer period of dead air?

I saw there was some debate about how this song would have worked better as an intro to the album. I would very much disagree. For me it's a perfect closer. The darkest track and so serene. This one is one my favorite beatless track off the album. IMO

I'm glad this one was retained after the promo video too.

It reminds me a lot of a slowed-down 'Clear & Present' by Carl Craig (Paperclip People.)

The synths that is.

I agree. I love it as an ending, even though it feels so hopeless to me.

Since I'm Polish, the title (once the tracklist has been announced) sounded very familiar to me, but I translated it as "Cemetery of Dead" which turned out to be not fully correct translation.
It's good as closer to the concept album, however I felt disappointment that it's exacly the same what was in the TH announcement video - I thought it will be something more, with additional layers and so static.
It reminds me old, 70's era of Tangerine Dream bootleg concerts, or some dark ambient music I know from a German duo called ['ramp] and their Doombient series (see - the title says it all ;) ).

i agree with this completely.

it reminds me of the end of the film "Deliverance." near the end of the film/ during the falling action, the survivors are all cleaned up and it seems as though its over. then the final scene with that hand coming out of the water with the ominous tone ... you realize its never over for those who experienced it.

its a 'never' ending. i like it.

So happy this made it on the album because I think it's beautiful, and the perfect bookend to gemini. God it's so heavy though.

I don't feel like I get much closure from this track. There's something about it which almost says 'We are only getting started'.

I agree, but having now got over that I think it's one of the most solid tracks on the album. I'm a huge fan of cinematic, atmospheric stuff, and I must admit that while I do love the album and its variety, I'd been hoping for more like this after I first heard it and the short XXXXXX music.

For me it's so much darker and moodier than everything else on the album - I love it.

It reminds me an awful lot of the opening music from David Lynches Inland Empire.
Don't have Inland Empire at hand so can't check.

It reminds me of a slowed version of this:

It's like a unexpected ending, I don't say that it's a bad track but it gives me a feeling of more new material and it makes me kinda sad.

I feel like the most stupid person ever, I've just now realised the first three repeating notes from this track are the same notes on Gemini. It's basically the same song but slower and decrepit.

PS: Now I feel I'm really starting to enjoy this album.

Hands down the darkest song they've made. And it's not aggressively dark either. With headphones, late at night, it's one of the most sobering songs I've ever heard. It sounds lo-fi in a way they have never sounded like before. To me this song is like viewing everything through a really screwed up vhs tape with constant static and warping, heavily faded colors (except for red), and a slowed down frame rate. Through this tape I see images of thousands of dead bodies littered across a dark red desert that goes on for miles under a starless night sky. Only 3 listens and I've gotten to a point where I would skip this song if I wasn't up for something like that. I don't really want to admit it but it's rising quickly as one of my favorites by them.

This, 100%.

I'm also glaringly convinced that there's something hidden in this track; it's just too minimal and it sounds like it's been slowed down considerably, or has some sort of phasing/filter trick going on with it (akin to the Soundcloud transmission). If you speed it up by 24 semitones, or two octaves, it becomes a more normal-sounding string melody.
