I have an audio clip of the origin of Sir Prancealot Brainfire.

It's funny how it's from a cartoon..or something

I love it, great little tune... what a bassline! It's so un-characteristic BoC as well, makes you wonder what other wierd tracks they've got lurking in their archives..

i find the plinky notes on Zeotrope always put me a in a positive mood...

i dont even think this sounds like BoC ...it's sounds so cheesy 70's sitcom/ made for tv love story..

edit: well it's BoC's tune obviously but it's sampled like dandelion which i love ...when lava flows out near the sea surface volcanic eruptions sometimes occur...

i just felt like saying that. . . . <3 leslie nielsen

I'm going to cry the day Leslie Neilsen dies... then I'm going to watch Naked Gun and laugh my ass off.

Legend. I just wanted to tell you both, good luck. We're all counting on you...

Reviving a dead topic, but it's better than creating a new one. Anyway, this song sighted here:

Redirects to an ebay.ca with some guy selling gift cards.

Eh? Do what mate? Confused... :?:

Tue Mar 16, 2010 11:05 pm

there is no mention of the song on that site.

If there was any redirection going on, it would be blocked by my script blocker.

Interesting...I've just heard it for the first time. It's clearly their homage to music on old BBC serials from the 1970s - the imported ones such as The Flashing Blade or The Aeronauts. More of a curiosity really.

I can't believe it's not a sample off an old soundtrack EP picked up in the North Berwick branch of Sue Ryder or summat.

And has nobody else noticed that under the "talkie bit" around 1:15 the vibraphone is playing this tune?

(Just hearing that again has brought a tear to my eye...quick, put Campfire Headphase on..ah..oh)

when I put this on a CD along with the other Old Tunes, my dad instantly recgonised it as a theme tune from a TV show he watched as a child called, funnily enough called "Sir Prancelot"!

It is a sample off an old soundtrack. As someone said earlier in the thread almost the whole thing is lifted directly from the Picadilly Players recording. I have the original, as used on the TV show recording which is different again.

I'm not sure we had identified the middle section though, so props for that.

check out bocpages and the legnths of songs. I think 2 of the songs were lumped into one song, thus throwing off the titles of the rest. With mine it was number 8 Iraq says and nine rubber wisdom

Meh. I'd missed that. Sorry, man.

And I was wrong too about a Sue Ryder Shop in N. Berwick....

That synth line is so good. I'd love to lift that off and use it in a cool remix so much

Heh, I remember that auction. It's not a redirect, just a saved page; the original ended 5 years ago. I wonder how much he got for them? :)

here's the Piccadily Players version of the Sir Prancelot theme tune

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uihY9_rqXSM

As you can hear the only difference between this and "Sir Prancelot Brainfire" is an additional synth line and the monologue from "sixty niner"

Fantastic, thanks for this. Can you please let me know what LP this version is available on, and what label released it? Thanks in advance.
