You guys, check out the other tracks on the playlist. Fake or not, song no. 4 is fucking LU$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$HH

Doesn't look or sound like BoC though

I dunno, on the other hand BoC have made lots of music so maybe it's them...

I dunno...speaking of mysterious tracks, does anyone have carthage? http://www.lastfm.pl/music/Marcus+Eoin/Untitled+Album

Edit: Shazam says that track no. 2 is "Prelude And Fugie In E-Flat Major, BWV 552: I. Prelude" by Pierre Segond

My first thought was that level of lu$$$$$$hne$$$$ can only belong to BoC and OPN- Physical Memory by Oneohtrix Point Never

The other tracks are unknown, but this tumblr page has probably never belonged to the Bros and and still doesn't

I thought the same thing. I really liked the music but wouldn't say it was BOC even if it's in a similar vein to some earlier stuff...

It's the pictures of vintage electronic equipment, tape machines, synths, geometric images, golf ball communication towers, etc.... that I find more intriguing.

Hey guys! That's actually an old tumblr account I once made and haven't used in ages.
Not sure about all the tracks I used there, would have to listen to those again.

So, yeah, sorry for the confusion; never would have thought people found that in search of BoC related stuff because of the name. It's just tracks and pictures and stuff I enjoyed

Well I enjoyed them too so thanks! :D

Reviving this thread because of the mysterious track "carthage" listed on Marcus' last.fm page...

https://www.last.fm/music/Marcus+Eoin/_/carthage

I stumbled across this while researching something else, but now I'm temporarily obsessed with finding this.

Image
Last.fm even agrees with me...

Using the Wayback Machine, I managed to find someone out of the 21 users reported to have heard this:

https://web.archive.org/web/20120826082 ... tled+Album
By chance, a snapshot of Eoin's artist page happened to have someone listening to it. (2012-08-23)

(For satisfaction, I found the scrobble on the person (uoghd)'s account using the current day site)

My plan was to message this person, but Fredd-E sent me this thread where the track was discussed. Now I'm just wondering if anyone out there has heard this file, and/or still has it.

I'm 99.9999999999% it's a fake but I'm still curious to hear it.

Any chance we could get a reupload of "Woah" and any other snippets posted by bailenantrodach if anyone still has them?

My memory matches chronical's about the main topic, but here are a few other tracks we looked at too IIRC...this folder's got what I had for 'Carthage'/'Whoah' samples plus other stuff. 10 years ago whewww

That carthage snippet is pretty lush, reminds me of Thief 1/2

People know how last.fm works right? It will create a track page depending on whatever gets scrobbled (and you can scrobble anything)

eg I could edit the tags on an mp3 I have so that the artist is Marcus Eoin and the track title is Carthage (or anything) and when I play it on my PC, last.fm would create a page for it.

I think that's all that's happened here.

It's not about the tags, it's about who uploaded the audio files in the first place. These could be found each on their own page. But sure, anyone could upload them, I don't remember exactly how that went.

Woah is the most interesting one because of bnt's comment on that HI Silicon Filter album. Not to mention hex code of hi pfp which contains the phrase as well, which is a residual tag from photoshop.

The hex code contained the phrase Silicon Filter Grail. When I found it, I took it to mean either an album named SIlicon Filter Grail or the the album was called Silicon Filter and it was a Holy Grail of sorts. No search turned up anything about an album called Silicon Filter or anything to do with images or image coding that had anything to do with silicon filters.
