I think Turqoise Hexagon Sun is boring.

You know, I kind of agree. The only part I really like about it is that piano-y synth that makes up the intro, and is used throughout the rest of the song. Otherwise, it is kind of...I don't know...bland...for BOC. Nice drum layers, but too little variation in any other department for me to really enjoy.

Also, Sixtyniner sounds better on Vinyl.

Good song. At least there is something going on. When I listen to Turquoise Hexagon Sun I imagine a BoC cover band playing in a cafeteria.

I still find Julian Barret funny. I just think Noel Fielding's humour was pretty one dimensional and hasn't aged well.

Interesting fact: I actually worked with Julian Barrett a couple of years ago. He came to our studio to record the voiceover for those O2 ads, the "Be more dog" ones. I actually engineered the session. He was a nice bloke. Very tall. I'm 6.1 and he towered above me. I actually kept his script, he did loads of cool doodles on it. I have it pinned up in my kitchen.

I find Noel Fielding quite funny but I do hate that false showbiz laugh where his entire jaw moves up and down. He does it on Buzzcocks ALL the time.

I'm one of the, I suppose rare few, who didn't like him in IT Crowd as well. Although it was a fantastic show, gotta love Graham Linehan (Black Books, Father Ted).

I couldn't stand Luxury Comedy.

Oh and while I'm at it I have a heavy distaste for panel shows like Buzzcocks and Have I got.. They are really irritating for some reason. I do like QI though.

On topic: Geogaddi doesn't feel complete for me without From One Source. It doesn't sum up the whole album per se, but I definitely feel it sums up their mindset around those years, particularly for whichever brother it was who mentioned suffering from depression. It actually makes me cry, which makes it the only one that does apart from Smallest Weird Number in terms of that album.

Tomorrow's Harvest is not that great. Neither are the old tunes. In fact, a lot of them creep me out. Then again, I'm a newer fan so it'll probably grow!
