it's the Prince of Dubai's 747-200. his people usually came into SDF 2 times a year to pick up/drop off thoroughbred horses.
off topic, i know. sorry.

i've just returned from a month off in france. on my birthday there, my girlfriend gave me a little print out, which had an order confirmation on it from bleep. isn't she lovely :)

I don't understand how Sevenfortyseven is an unheard track at all, it was on their old site... I've even got the loop in .mp3 on my computer, haha. It'll be nice to hear it in high quality, but it's still quite a letdown for me. I know they're working on a new album but honestly, I wish it were something none of us had heard at all, haha.

as someone in this thread has already mentioned, it's still technically an unheard track, since the only part you've ever heard is the loop from the site.

if you want to get pedantantic about the definition of "unheard" you could say that no music is ever unheard, since the creator must've listened to it.

in all fairness, Warp should've used the term "unreleased" rather than unheard. all i know is that i'm not disappointed with the autechre track that's showing up on Warp20 ;) was lucky enough to get a "showing" recently

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from, I guess I sounded a little harsh with that. It's more or less that I was really hoping for something that doesn't/didn't exist anywhere publically, even as a sample, and that's what made me a bit disgruntled with it all. I'm really excited to hear the stuff the other artists have though, especially ae, Broadcast and Clark in particular.

looks like either the stocks for this have dried up, or there's something wrong with bleep at the moment. the pre-order page for Warp20 (boxset) is dead

JunoDownload has a preview page for the Warp20 Recreated disc here. Bibio's Kaini Industries cover and Mira Calix's IABPOITC cover are present in the form of two minute previews. A really good taste of what's to come.

The Bibio cover is sending blissful shivers up my spine.

Bibio and Mira Calix fucking nailed it. Stunning stuff. Some other good stuff on there too though Luke Vibert's LFO is pretty disappointing.

Both are nice tracks. But neither of those two recreations surpass the originals, by far.

Somewhere it was written that the Mira Calix one surpassed the original. *BEEP* guess again.

But, yes, I like the strings in that version. I look forward to hearing the full tracks.

Don't think so. It's definitely not as good as the original, but I like this slower recreation. It's something I'd play/dj with for sure!

Wow, I really like bibios remix of Kaini Industries! The remix of IABPOITC is really good as well, but I think I like Bibios remix of Kaini Industries better, guess I have to listen to both of em a bit more. And would love to hear the full length tracks!

i'm refusing to listen to these previews, just the same as i refused to listen to the Quaristice album until i got the steel case (the steel case was released considerably later than the initial standard release).

not long now until it'll be delivered :D

bibio's cover is pretty cool. i always love a good acoustic guitar. interesting, wonder how full-quality will sound.

edit: mira hardly comes close to the depth of boc's mix of iabp, but it's still a very good piece nonetheless.
