What is a common period of time between an album announcement and an album release to announce/release a single?

I like the album title, track names and artwork but my first reaction was that the title and track names weren't BoC-worthy. So I was a bit surprised but it's all good nevertheless.

I think it would've been very cool if New Clear Dawn was one of the track names, that would totally fit in. Perhaps it's the bonus track on the Japan-only release!

The cover artwork reminds me of a certain poster for a movie, and I cannot put my finger which.

Can somebody help me? It's driving me nuts.

This. Looks like a a-bomb mushroom cloud behind the city. Mark it down.

Yes. Note the sun on the desert horizon, underneath the city skyline...

Is that a "yes, it's just a sun" or a "yes, it's an explosion but also a sun?" Looks to me like a visual double entendre.

I also thought things like "Sick Times" are not very Boards of Canada, but most of the other titles are cool.

I wish everyone would stop trying to compare it to old releases... IT'S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ALBUM. C'mon guys!

Where would one go online to buy a Japanese release of this album? I'm assuming not on Bleep.

EDIT: oh I see http://www.amazon.co.jp/TOMORROW%E2%80%99S-HARVEST-BRC382-BOARDS-CANADA/dp/B00CISC2C6/ref=sr_1_3?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1367268218&sr=1-3&keywords=boards+of+canada

If anyone happened to snag more than one copy of the vinyl, could you please PM me? I will buy one of the copies from you if this was your intention. I work a day job, finally got a break, only to find that the pre-orders for the vinyl have sold out.

Does anyone speculate that there will be another opportunity to buy them before the album is released? Sorry, again, I'm on break and haven't read through this post.

Thank you x :(

Amazon has a preorder up, but I don't know if that's a guarantee.

It shows "sold out" on the main page, but you can still order it from the product page.

Hmm. I recently wanted to buy the new Grouper vinyl but it was quickly sold out due to an unforeseen demand. Yet quickly after it was available again after they had arranged for more copies to be pressed (both these events preceded the official release date). I hope Warp is going to arrange to have more copies pressed. If not, that's a serious letdown. In either case they have underestimated the breadth of this hype and the subsequent influx of fans to their site wanting to order a copy by far. :/

I don't have a credit card so I don't think I can order from Amazon. Any Europeans wanting to get rid of a copy? Can MDG or someone else comment on whether vinyl copies will become available again within the foreseeable future?
