I was waiting for you to chime in! They really made the introductory video the same exact length as Introit and then gave us a perfect bongo-tabla groove whirly synth line indent.

I am loving that wonky antacid bassline in the second bit.

There's some really sideways melodies in this.

Real solid stuff! There’s a lot going on here. I love the eastern (or mid eastern) sounds at the beginning of Prophecy. Then the song really goes all out, full boards.

I don’t see how TAPE05 fits into this, but I hope there’s room for something more chill like that on this record. I saw comments saying it fits between Introit and Prophecy, but I’m not hearing it.

One last thought, for the people trying to decipher the vocals, I hear the last line as “nothingness laughs at itself”. Philosophical, yo

It says "Nothingness. the absolute truth." at the end of the dialog

I don’t want this to become a track I skip on the album.

Good thinking. That happened to me with Reach for the Dead. When the album dropped i would always skip. Not anymore though.

I was going to wait until the full album was out

Then I didn't, and I have no regrets. Very very cool. I have not read any of this thread but I'm hoping for a full visual album.

Just listened for the second time and I just now realised how the first track goes into the second one without any cuts, that makes sense considering the gapless WAV they're selling.

I gotta say, with each new little piece of audio/visual media that comes out about this album, I'm a little surprised - just when I think I've got a grasp on the vibe, it gets elaborated on or a very different soundscape is introduced. That makes me REALLY excited for this. TH was a little samey for me.

Yeah, I like the gapless concept. Kind of surprised they are only making an album like that now. Seems very them.

I mean, much of Geogaddi segues into itself, but yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if there are no hard stops here.

Imagine. Imagine the tragedy if an artist lost interest in downtempo and started making synthwave.

That would be the end of the world. The worst thing.

I think at this point we can safely write the BOC Reddit off as sub-Watmm horse manure in digital form.

Reddit be redditing. Giving me good giggles some of the stuff people write online. I hope next track sends them over the edge.

Ugh, I should have exercised more restraint and not listened to the songs. Now it's going to be agony not being able to listen to the whole thing for more than two weeks. At least my fears of creative stagnation on BoC's side have been thoroughly dissipated.

Good description. I’m glad to have no idea what “synthwave” is. Thinking of music in terms of genre is damaging.

It’s so, SO GREAT! The video is perfect too.

Amazing how different it sounds, but it’s undeniably BoC at the same time.

This album is going to absolutely RIP. I have a feeling it could end up being their best work yet…

Not sure if anyone's mentioned these yet:

There is a higher octave synth that sounds like the same one used on EYDIAB, I think. It comes in around 2:30-3:30ish.

The guitar melody - I'd be interested in some music theory nerds because it echos Turquoise Hexagon Sun.

There is speech that is in the left channel from 0:04-0:16 or so. I can't make out what it's saying for the life of me.
