Damn that sucks. I was skeptical about Redeye, thought it was strange that it would include the cd. Therefore went with Skam. Ordered both vinyl and cd, and I just got the download link today. It was about $30 total (shipping to Norway). I actually already have the '99 repress and the '03 version of cd, but who could resist picking up these as well?

irv wrote:^ Same, this is bullshit unless there's another delivery coming.

I don't even have a record player and planned to sell on or give away the vinyl - only wanted the CD and the poster...

Edit: I've emailed them, I'll post any response I get.

Just received this from Redeye:

As they were sealed we assumed they were as they had said, I will check with the distributor and let you know.

Cheers

Edit

They say that it does not come with a CD but should have an
insert/poster in there?

Poster is there (I missed it) but not really the point...

They've changed the page on their site now to remove the reference to the CD and poster (still says it in URL though): http://www.redeyerecords.co.uk/vinyl/55 ... nd-poster-

Mon Oct 20, 2014 4:21 pm

I haven't received mine yet from RedEye, but it would be extremely disappointing if we won't receive the CD's they promised.

Mon Oct 20, 2014 5:15 pm

Cool, just return it and I will swap it over for you. If you just put it in the 2nd class post, not recorded we will refund your post paid too. Sorry about the hassle.

Cheers

Sounds like it's not technically their fault and a mistake/lie by the distributor, but it still sucks.

Might see if they can just send me the CD so I can keep the poster.

Mon Oct 20, 2014 5:49 pm

I don't have the poster either :(

Mon Oct 20, 2014 5:58 pm

I hope it's not Blerp's fault

why would it include a CD. bleep doesnt sell that way.

why not order from bleep or skam? that makes no sense...what does that save you?

For better or worse, the vinyl reissue fiasco has made me a captive consumer, I can't see ever purchasing Warp vinyl from anywhere else again.

Just finished side 1, all good so far. Very nicely pressed and remastered.

I'll update when I've finished side 2.

UPDATE: Flawless, I wish the rest had been this good :)

I wasn't to know it woudn't work that way - the page said it came with a CD and poster and as far as I knew Redeye was a reputable retailer that had been around for years.

Redeye wanted me to return it all (wouldn't let me keep the poster) and said they'd refund me the postage and send out the CD - no mention of whether I'd be reimbursed the difference since I'd spent £13.44 on this and can get CD+MP3 for £8.29 delivered from Bleep. Load of hassle.

Pretty shit customer service considering it was their cock-up, or their distributors, whatever. Going to just keep it for now and have ordered CD off Bleep.

I've found its always best to stick with the actual label

Nice to see Hi Scores in record stores, a rare sight before today :)

Tue Oct 21, 2014 7:07 pm

it seems that nobody here really cares about the remaster itself

well that's cause most haven't been able to listen yet...

the vinyl and cd arrived for me today. I'm on the east coast of North America.

the vinyl feels really good relative to the recent WARP represses... real heavy and smooth.

Tue Oct 21, 2014 8:41 pm

So I am assuming these reissues do not come with these? (like the older presses did):

Image

And instead come with the new 12x12 instead? Or are they both included?

Tue Oct 21, 2014 8:50 pm

"The left and right channels for all tracks have been swapped for this re-mastered re-issue, compared to all previous versions."

What's with that? Not really a problem, but why?

Tue Oct 21, 2014 9:24 pm

the poster is 12 by 12 and says boards of canada vertically alongside the same image inside the digipak cd...

I ordered the vinyl and cd from Bleep and they turned up on Saturday. I've already got the original so I wasn't sure about getting the remaster. I haven't done a direct comparison with the original, but the remaster sounds excellent on vinyl, so I'm glad I got it now. Haven't played the cd yet.
