Actually, yeah! I was thinking of the more ambient tracks from 'The Fragile' initially, but you're correct, it sounds more like 'A Warm Place.' The resemblance is there, I can't unhear it now.![]()
I absolutely adore this track. Can confirm that it gets better with each listen.
ALSO! I can confirm that when you listen to it with earbuds, different details sort of 'pop out,' fore example a bit of an echoing hint of a melody behind the main stuff.
Also, I believe some of the faint voices in the last 30 seconds were sampled from shortwave radio! It has that familiar tinniness and distortion that voices get when you're barely on the same band/wavelength as the broadcast.

The shortwave sample from the promotional tapes are mostly from UVB-76, so probably same source here.
