Thanks Derek, I enjoyed writing it. I think it can be quite therapeutic to recount your favorite music in specific detail...

The question was which BOC song is your favourite. I'm surprised that Kid for Today didnt get much of a look in so far. This is my all time favourite. The structure is quite simple but I love the way the main phrase gradually grows and then subtly jumps up agear when the rounded beats kick in. And of course there is the rhythm shaped by "slide projector" mechanism. The thematic statement created by this beat really sums up boards for me i.e intelligent, reflective and beautifully melancholic. I'd hazzard a guess and say it might be one of BOC's favs as well. After all the track influenced the artwork on the sleeve with the slide image-like design.

It's hard to say what BOC tracks are my favourites (all their stuff, with the exception of some parts of Geogaddi, is excellent), but I guess it would be either Kid for today or In a beautiful place out in the country.
Never compromise your art, keep it close to your heart.

Amo

Bishop

Roden

A quote from myself in this same topic almost exactly a year ago to the day. My mind hasn't changed. :P I would have to agree with Hex on this one though, it's just too damn hard to choose. I rarely find a Boc track that I don't like. Still Amo Bishop Roden has probably been played by me more than any of their other tracks.

Don't know if it's actually my favourite, but my most played is 'Alpha and Omega' according to iTunes. My wife walked down the aisle to 'Kid for Today', so that has a special place in my heart too.
