Thanks man!

Actually Panth, that was sequenced 100% on the 101, I still don't have my MIDI to CV gate hooked up.

cool, I had no Idea that the 101 was able to sequence things on its own.

Yup, it has a 100 note step sequencer in it. Basically, you press the load button, then you play the notes you want to, then you press the play button and it plays it back looped. It converts everything to say 16th notes and you can adjust the speed of the arpeggio with the LFO. It's basically a HUGE felxible arpeggiator, because it has a transpose key too....

...which allows you do to some cool stuff like sequence a scale, then hold the transpose key and hit a different note, then that arpeggio will play that scale in whatever key you selected. This can be done on the fly for some very cool results.

Jesus, I haven't listened to many BoC covers before, but that just did it for me. Fuck, that was brilliant.

That Roygbiv cover is fantastic, especially the piano work in the middle. Reminded me how good the original is too!

Jazz and BoC, interesting and fucking awesome combination!

Dono, your vid [cover] inspired me to pull out my 101 and whip off a cover myself.
i fucked up on the tempo. was supposed to be 95 and change. but somehow did it at 92. so its painfully slow. im not redoing it.
my mixing skills are junk at best, i think this coulda sounded way better if i had the slightest bit of skill to mix properly.

BUT....all the sounds are SH101 only, cept for the percs, natch.

i got one more going to....hopefully it turns out a little tighter.

Sorry to post this twice... But I posted this in the poppy seed thread but I did a cover of poppy seed reprise while I was at my friends studio yesterday:

http://soundcloud.com/beastrichards/pop ... -polar-sky

Mostly Analog. No samples used.

Again, sorry for posting in two different threads.
