Damn, from what I've seen of this album, it sounds like it's gonna be so dark that Geogaddi will look like a Taylor Swift album.

One of my favorite horror movies! Particularly for it's dark atmosphere and soundtrack! Glad you mentioned it.

I don't know about you guys, but I cannot stop watching this video!! The music is so ominous and foreboding!

I know it's probably already been asked, but what song do you think it is from the new album? Or rather, is it a standalone piece?

the circular effect reminds me of that fake BoC youtube video with the fake song (the 2 minute one) we were led astray to for a minute on this BoC-chase.

I thought about this too....I watched the video to the point where the music actually started and subtracted that chunk from the total time of the video. Going by that, the two closest matches according to the tracktimes on Bocpages are Cold Earth and Semena Mertvykh....That is, ASSUMING that the music in the video is not only a snippet. Who knows, maybe it's not even on the album though?

I'm kind of bummed about how dark it's starting to look. When I saw the desert imagery in the commercial, I thought fuck yes, they're doing like a road trip/wild west/remembering olden times type thing. Perhaps the music will be uppity, and there won't be a lot of hidden messages and stuff like on geogaddi, and I can dismiss the whole apocalypse thing and chill out to some good summer time relaxation tunes. Or not. I should probably just be quiet and listen to the album when It comes out.

I just hope it's not as dark as we all think.

I'll shut up now, I just wanted to get all that our of my head, lol

I had the same thought.

Sick Times, Cold Earth, Come to Dust, Seeds of the Dead. Man! Some of these song titles are so black metal!

The track lengths seem more balanced than usual, too.

That site change was simply used to finish off this number hunt. You punch in the 6 6-digit numbers and the Tomorrow's Harvest video plays. I'm sure the website will return soon. Hopefully it'll have a makeover, if not I just hope they update the news section and that dreadful black box.

New Boards of Canada... Wow. It feels almost surreal to finally have this day materialise. I know it was the highly expected culmination of all the cryptic messages, but still, man... what an awesome day! :D And it just feels right that 2013 also saw the first new My Bloody Valentine album in over twenty years.

Good wishes to all BoC fans around the world!

Indeed! Sums it up well.

Edit: Post number 123. Yeah, that's right!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh man, I'm absolutely gushing right now. A new boc album... after all the years of waiting, fakes and dashed hopes it feels like I'm dreaming hahaha.

Album seems like it's going to be beautifully dark. Loving the music in the teaser video.

Really excited to hear "Jacquard Causeway" for some reason. :)

I'm loving the darker themes as well...the teaser video gives off an almost "Dead Flag Blues" level of desolation, which is impressive.

Also, my thoughts on the title/album's meaning..."Tomorrow's Harvest" seems like a pretty clear reference to the old adage "One reaps what he sows", especially since there are tracks with titles like "New Seeds" and "Semena Mertvykh" on the album. This is probably a political/socially-minded message. The present day is filled with dangers that are unprecedented in the history of the world (global warming, nuclear proliferation, world wars, economic dysfunction, energy crisis, deforestation, etc.), and a lot of them are potentially cataclysmic. I'm guessing that BoC's point of view is that the world is off the rails, nobody at the wheel--we're sowing the seeds today that will lead to an apocalypse tomorrow, and even though we can see what lies ahead, and the steps necessary to prevent catastrophe are clear, nobody is willing/able to change human society on a massive enough scale to stop it. And that feeling of dread over an inevitable catastrophe borne of our own foolishness is what the album is all about capturing. Kind of like Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" in that sense. Or at least that's what I'm getting right now, just from the trailer and my imagination. :)

YES! Totally getting a Cormac McCarthy The Road type vibe... just something overwhelmingly paranoid, apocalyptic and enlightening. I think the whole previous apprehension about apocalypse and just recent history has trickled into their music.

I watched the video again and it gave me goosebumps... I think this just might be their best release once it's out. They're definitely giving off a very heavy/intense impression with how they've promoted it thus far.

The best thing about how dark it sounds from the promo vid is how they always mix in melancholy/half-cheery melodies in with the dark vibes. This is going to be an insane mixture.

God I'm so hyped for this!

I don't know if this has been said, but the track as the background of that video is 4:54, there are not any tracks on the album of this length, but bear in mind the silence at the end, I am thinking this track might be "Reach For The Dead" which is 4:47.
