man.. how cool would that be.

I've been having tons of epic dreams lately; I think mainly because I've been a bit feverish. They've been awesome.. ;D

yes, gyroscope was a dream that i believe marcus had. he heard a song in the dream, and woke up and tried to recreate it. he said he was surprised by how much they made the song sound like the dream

with that said, i had a dream a while back that i went to the boards of canada site, and they updated the black box. i still remember what the album cover looked like, so ive been very interested to see if the album cover end up looking anything like what i had seen in the dream.

I had like the exact same dream! What did the album art look like for you?

its pretty cool that i had this dream over a year ago, and can pretty much remember every detail.

i remember the artwork looking like if you took the twoism album art and the campfire headphase album art, and somehow blended the two..

i remember the colors red and blue really sticking out, and there was either one or two figures. which appeared to be walking towards the photo in some type of astronaut gear, which might be why i was reminded of the twoism cover.

Hm, interesting haha. I had a dream that they came out with an album called Paradigm Shift and it was like this abyss/fractal sort of picture. It would have been really weird if our dreams were the same.

Boards of canada's new album will be available for streaming via dreaming. I have definitely had dreams of new boc material lol.

I always notice that music in dreams seems to have a very decayed sort of surreal sound much like a vignette from The Campfire Headphase. Music in dreams is always absolutely fantastic.

I had a dream recently where I did dream of Lp covers but the only one I recall was the Beach House cover. I don't even own that, maybe a sign I should buy it....?

I was listening to 1969 today, and when I heard the line "1969 in the sunshine" I noticed I always think of this:

Am I the only one who notices a similarity in voices? (I HIGHLY doubt it was intentional).

hahahah! Frieza from DBZ!!!??? that's hilarious! I never noticed the similarity before. It's not exact but you can hear it a little.

hahaha, i never watched dragonball z. so when arbitersground posted that photo, and said that he pictured that the first time he heard "1969 in the sunshine". i immediately thought... damn that dude must have been on some heavy psychedelics to start picturing shit like that.. little did i know until i read the next post, you were referring to the sound of the voice in the song reminding you of that character. i was under the impression that when you first listened to 1969 you began to see futuristic dragons and shit. i thought you were crazy for a second, haha!

I highly recommend DBZ seasons 1-6 with original Japanese audio and subtitles to anyone who's into animation. The music, atmosphere, and action is fantastic.

I'll say it again [prediction]: this length of time is all about preparation for a live act. A multi-person live act.

Yea, I've been catching some of the DBZ-Kai show on Saturday mornings on broadcast TV where I live. It's absolutely terrible. As far as I can tell, it's the same show (as I've seen every episode through teh Frieza saga), but the new voice overs and music is seriously awful. It's missing a lot of blood too :(

If we're talking about Dragon Ball music, the track played in the very first 30 seconds of the first episode is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could find the whole thing, but sadly I can only hear what's in the fist like 27 seconds.

I second this, the original Japanese version is the way to watch it and Dragon ball too ;-)

For the love of Bob! Please don't put thoughts like that in my head, my overoptimism gland is already stretched thin as it is.

I just hope they are working on some sort of magnum opus that will be as epic as possible.

I think it's taken them all this time to compile an album that's even stronger than The Campfire Headphase, which personally I feel is about the best damn album (and one of the most innovative) I've ever heard. It's not an easy album to follow up, in other words.

And I'm sure the new LP will branch out into new sound territory we've never heard them explore.

Fri Aug 31, 2012 6:27 pm

I just hope they're actually working on something.

Fri Aug 31, 2012 6:44 pm

As I keep saying, they've hung it up for good. My predictions of not hearing anything ever again are staying true.

i agree, the campfire headphase seems to be the best album possible, i cant imagine another lp going to an even higher level.

i am really not in a big hurry for the new album like most of you. i have recently been finding some amazing music to hold me over through the wait.

Then wouldn't WARP make an announcement of some kind, especially considering they haven't fulfilled their contract?

That also contradicts their own statement that they are working on something so it doesn't really make sense for them to not follow through with it.
