Quite.

Yep, smacks of a red herring to me. The amount of work that's gone into this is fantastic, and I'd be really surprised if whoever's behind it slipped up like this.

Been a long time lurker here. Very excited with all this going on - I've tried explaining it to non-BoC fan friends and they think I'm mental. More fool them!

Mind you, computers and whatnot can be treacherous bastards. I've looked at that is myself now and just maybe it's a mistake.

But srsly? BOC fallible? :?

That image is a photo of the sleeve of the first record was found, if I'm not wrong. Maybe just BoC/Warp referencing that they're following the hype along?

It's not that they forgot to remove them, it's that Soundcloud's default setting is checked to enable downloads. This is something that could have been easily overlooked by the band (or somebody at warp)

i'm not sure about that. any time i upload music the downloads are disabled by default... it just seems like every single detail has been so meticulously thought out. it definitely wouldn't be something that was overlooked by the band. maybe someone at warp realised they'd done it and spewed green tea all over their imac.

Yeah...moreover I think it would have been difficult to play the tracks simultaneously without downloading them. The noise disappearance requires a perfect synchronization.

Ooh, you're right. Theory deflating...

Open the MP3 file (2-699742.mp3) in Notepad++ and find this part:

http://i42.tinypic.com/2mobcet.png

Remove everything before the symbols I marked and save the file as a JPG image.
When you open it, you'll see this:

http://i40.tinypic.com/33tgeph.jpg

...which is weird, because that position is already filled.

That's strange...but what mp3 file are you referring to? (link?)

I love how posts in this forum vary from "God damn they're perfect GENIUSES" to "Ugh, they screwed something up somewhere and therefore are not gods like I thought they were". They're just two dudes who happen to make incredible music.

I got the gist of what you were saying. But people being disappointed because a clue is TOO simple are being ridiculous. Maybe I'm just a simpleton when it comes to this stuff, but I'm just amazed at the cleverness of the whole concept, period.

I mean seriously, all they would have had to have done is announced a release date and thousands of fanboys would have shit themselves. It wouldn't take a campaign of this magnitude to placate the masses.

*wakes up*

"15 pages? What did I miss?"

Love this band. So reckon the next clue's going to turn up on WATMM?

Fri Apr 26, 2013 9:07 am

Thanks for being inspiring. Both in real life and my dreams.

That's about it. Good luck with the search, guys.

Well, it's not really a clue in this case. It is something that was found at the end of following the other clues. It just looks like they forgot to take out the header there and now you can see their directory structure.
It's legitimate to question whether this is a genuine part of the game or a slip-up because there's nothing cryptic about "Cosecha Teaser/TH Cosecha Numbers Station Trail/Cosecha Clue 2 for fans". So, it doesn't fit with what went before that they would just hide this blatant statement about teasing etc.

Though the same image exists in the other MP3s, so it's not really a clue.
Sorry. :)

Mmh don't know...the point is: who uploaded it? Maybe he is a fan that had the mp3 file in the same directory as the picture (he was following this thing and saved images and other things), so the mp3 went associated with the pictures (in fact when I save the mp3 the preview shows the picture)...just guessing here anyway.

EDIT: ok, so that's not a clue.

It could have been placed there deliberately as another clue, or as a red herring. I guess we'll find that out eventually. Maybe.

Sorry if this has been covered or if I'm way off base, but here it goes.
I was thinking about the user magick and his posts.
His first and 2nd post contained links and subjects that were edited. I forget what exactly, but as it stands now his 1st posts subject is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2zKARkpDW4
and the 2nd is BBBB
His 3rd post just states "look up"
and the 4th and last post was "this is a conversation..." with the subject also "..."

Im thinking 'look up' means, look 'up' in the thread, as in look at the older posts.
Perhaps the subject BBBB is relevant still? Something undiscovered perhaps?

The 4th posts "this is a conversation..." could mean all the recent posts after his 3rd are 'just a conversation' as in they are beside the point of what is supposed to be looked for?

Whoever uploaded these mp3's had the image embedded. you dont need to delete, just rename to jpg.

We can find out easily enough, if someone with Reaper can check if it includes the full project path and filename in the tag of an exported WAV.

My guess is that it doesn't, meaning that they've included this "Cosecha Clue 2 for fans" stuff deliberately.

His username, magickwindowis23rds, could be read as "the magic window is 23rd of S..."

September? Or more shenanigans?
