Absolutely love this one. The arp is infectious and the cinematic nature of it all is grand.

I'm finding that now that I can hear it in that good of quality I like it a lot more.

ohh, I should have posted this here earlier. My cut of the listening party is a still shot until white cyclosa then it picks up a bit. The audio is all thanks to paul though. WC starts at 8:20ish for those who dont want to spoil gemini or what have you.

fuck do i ever love the transition from RFTD into this song. so far ive heard the first 4 tracks plus cold earth. cyclosa is easily my favorite track thus far

its just so haunting..and i know thats a word that could describe a lot of BoC stuff. but this song...its like ive heard it before....in my dreams. i cant explain it

still it sounds as if it was pulled from some cheesy 80's movie that was set in the year 2000 lol

and thats not a bad thing at all

you have no idea how close your dreams are to reality!
look up Jupiter Menace/ Synergy on iTunes ... with special attention to track 10 (The Plunge/Earthquake Simulation). when i was standing there in the desert and heard Cyclosa, i was 12 again (when i discovered Synergy). fantastic characterization thinkdontpray, your dreams are real!

Whoa that's really crazy stuff...I would have been a year old when that was released. Now that's a trip right there. But I dig it. I'm not one to randomly download an album I've never even heard of but since your a fellow Boc'er (?) I will break that rule.

thanks J! yeah - not sure if am a total nutter, but i am feeling love for Synergy on TH. since Larry Fast has been equally as quiet (perhaps more) as our favorite brotherly duo, this for me is hitting in so many different places - i seriously am calling it my favorite. i'm tasting hints of Blade Runner, flavors of Synergy, and a leggy BOC i have never known ... an unparalleled vintage for this palate.

Pretty sure I heard helicopter blades in the background of this one. I couldn't hear it in the lake dolores bootlegs.

I listened wc 6 times already and still dont know what arpeggios doing here. Everytime when I want to hear background with pads, helicopter and other atmos things, arpeggios return my attention to them. It looks like you really want to sleep but something does not give you. So you hear only arpeggios but not the song.
This is strange.

Tell me im right or unmindful.

Probably already been brought up, but anyone else think that low drone noise sounds a lot like high-pitched, whirring helicopter blades? When I listen to the song now, that's all I can think of.

And given some think there is a Cold War theme/feel to this album, perhaps the noise could into helicopters being used in warfare? Bit of a stretch, I know.

Can't believe more people aren't feeling this track. Top 3 on the album, IMO. I love the second half of the track when the bass drum kicks in, alternating with the boom, boom-boom, on/off beat. Sounds like a heartbeat of....something. Hard to tell with the images this conjures up in my head. Plus the drone of the helicopter rotor blades just sounds so off-putting.

I love this track. I really hope somewhere in this world there exists a Black Cyclosa too!

This track has some striking similarities with the soundtrack of George A Romero's "day of the dead", a post apocalyptic zombie movie. The soundtrack alone is worth a look.
