Alright, so this is kinda bizarre. Someone pointed this out on WATMM, searching for BOC on the PPL Repertoire comes up with a shit ton of songs that have never been released... A lot of them have 0:00 as the duration and they're from various years. No clue if it's even related to potential upcoming stuff but it's still registered "songs" that I've never seen referenced anywhere before.

Sorry to derail the hype. At least some of those titles are associated with Bim Sherman (Golden Morning Star, Across the Red Sea, etc) so it's just a screw up.

Sounds like they blinked twice. Old Tunes confirmed?

If the hype is real for this year,

Would it not be 22 AUG 2016, the 20th anniversary of the Cosecha date ?

We don't know anything ahead of time of course. But. With a name like Harvest Ritual it's way more likely to be something tied to Tomorrow's Harvest like a track or at best an EP than anything to do with the old tunes or god forbid a box set. Can we not kill this with overenthusiasm please? It was annoying enough to watch the release of Tomorrow's Harvest get bogged down by that whole 'its a double album! Maybe there's a hidden second disc out there! Or maybe a hidden proper track order! Or maybe you need to listen to it backwards! Is this all it is?' That over excitement... Some people ended up disappointed by it before most of us had heard it more than a couple of plays through.

Whatever it is lets judge it on what it is and not build up a bunch of unrealistic expectation what it might be.

Probably. There's also another hint, rversed 822 in the album artwork,

I honestly wasn't expecting anything related to TH being released, because how much time is passed, but it seems everything comes together, as it was planned

It would most deffo feel like a reflection of the vibe of the times, tense and claustrophobic, much like geogaddi was the first time around.

Getting enthusiastic about possibilities even in the face of slight disappointment is something that shouldn't be taken away from people though. A new title has been listed and it could literally be anything.

The whole enjoyment was the possibility of there being a golden ticket in your wonka bar, not the reality or unlikeliness of it.

Wild theories should be let out of the cage right here, right now. Where are people's collective sense of wonder these days? It keeps you going, man. Trying to retrieve a state of mind I had as a child is all about reviving the idea that there are endless possibilities and maybe that magic really does exist. Music is magic and boards are in the highest order of wizards.

...I strayed quite far from the initial point, sorry. Carried away.

The only reason I can think of for them registering the Untitled Machine Drum Edit is capturing YouTube revenue. If they were going to release the track in any form, why mess with a non-soundboard, crowd noise laden, shifty DAT recorder live audio? So it makes me think that "Harvest Ritual" is likely to be just some bit of similar rights/housekeeping... like registering the "Flute Frum Thing" that was in the Telecom Italia ad.

I do think that the social media activity is a decent signal -- though I'm curious who is operating that. Is it the brothers? Some of the tweets chosen for favs seem random in a way that could be more akin to an intern at Warp messing around than a signal from the bunker under the Hexagon Sun secret compound. Then again, the brothers' social media savvy is probably stunted if they live a sort of James Howard Kunstler or unabomber lifestyle.

Of course for all we know, they are lurking on these forums right now, reading this and chuckling while they finalize artwork for the new double LP.
preparation for a dive.

Did we ever figure out what http://www.nucleardawn.net/ is all about in relation to the next album?

Haha john fonda, I just wanted to paste that link.
I think the 'Harvest Ritual' has more to do with a lore or spiritual thing like what they did with Geogaddi.
I also found another interesting page about Pagan/Wicca:

http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/samhain ... st_End.htm

"Ritual Honoring the Harvest's End"
Makes sense with the concept, ending the tomorrow's harvest.

Probably overanalyzing again. But hey, that's why we're BoCers! ;)
Atleast they have their Twitter account all set up in orange, like a pumpkin!

The simplest explanation is often the correct one. Very good point and as they're an established band/brand the legalities of someone using an illegal crowd recording is good reason for them (in my head, anyway) to register it with their PRO. Takes care of messy publishing and licensing issues! :D
The preparation for a dive is always a tense time.

That was years ago, and I'm pretty sure MDG dispelled any rumors that they were even related.
