Yea, I imagine he made visuals for the entire album. I can't imagine the listening sessions playing the Introit/Prophecy video, and then... nothing? Or some looping generic fx? Doesn't add up. I think unlikely anything is released before the 29th, though.

If TH was a story involving nuclear warfare or the world ending, is Inferno actual HELL that spills over? Is it the war/fallout that ensues that TH teases? I like to imagine what the lore is telling us.

Always thought TH was the soundtrack for a movie version of The Stand we never got.

“Hell on earth is real. The toxic fusion of big oil, Evangelical Christianity, and white supremacy has ignited a worldwide inferno, more phantasmagoric than anything William Blake could dream up and more cataclysmic than we can fathom. Escaping global warming hell, this revelatory book shows, requires a radical, mystical marriage of Christianity and biology that awakens a future beyond white male savagery.”

I can't help but speculate that the "Leviathan" referenced on track 3 is not just the biblical but also the Hobbesian Leviathan (the state as a 'mortal god' which acts as the absolute guarantor of social order, ie; as a force of generalized counter-insurgency). To me it feels that in past releases, BoC were interested in cults and so on as a kind of counter-cultural (or at most, para-political) phenomenon, as byproducts of a historical process whose content they encrypted; so the references to Satanic Panic and cold war paranoia throughout Geogaddi actually deal with the disintegrating 'End of History' and the opening of the war on terror. Inferno may mark a turn in their attention towards the state and the political as such, which is not in any way to suggest some attempt at a grand political statement, but only that they are keen observers of social trends, and there is no way that it has escaped that today in America (and consequently, or for the same reasons, also in Israel) doomsday messianism is no longer a mere byproduct and rather serves as a direct and fundamental component of state ideology. Consequently, these ideas are 'in the air' in a way which is far more immediate to the reality they express: for evidence of this look no further than Peter Thiel's constant invocation of AI as a potential Anti-Christ, or dork 'Secretary of War' Pete Hegseth's love for the crusades. By putting the Leviathan in the place of Beryllium, it seems to indicate a conception of these social, cultural, religious, and political developments as moments of the same determinate sequence as nucleosynthesis, abiogenesis, etc.

I love this, and I actually had the same idea formulate in my brain immediately after the title of the album 'Inferno' was revealed.

I was hoping for a sequel to TH, but honestly, what we've heard so far is even better than that and I couldn't be happier.

I hear a fusion of elements of all 4 of their first albums - it's so brilliant and beautiful! :D

To me this album will be 100% political in a very direct way. The line "power is the religion of the new world" points at this. The frequency mention points to the desire to connect to something beyond us through science, and how this desire has been used to put us in an inferno (the Naraka and the Labyrinth). The Age of Capricorn is mandated through Saturn, which is Chronos, God of time, structure and limitations. It represents an era of rigid, cold and materialistic control. Arena Americanada (power made into a show) and All Reason Departs (abandonment of logic or rather logic 'losing' against technological dogma) also points at this. I Saw Through Platonia to me means to see past the numbers and algorithms that govern us in order to escape said hell.

At least these are my thoughts until the album drops lol.

If anyone knows, I haven't bought a pre-order record from bleep before, do they time the shipping to arrive around the release date or do they ship physical on release date? thanks

I'm in the UK and they usually arrive roughly on release date

Yep, UK here too and I've always got Bleep pre-orders on release date, sometimes even the day before.

Although if you ordered the red vinyl after the site crashed, I believe they've already said there's no guarantee.

Someone help me understand what’s special about the continuous mix? How is it any different from the vinyl, or Apple Music where there’s no gap between tracks. Are the tracks themselves going to end differently with no fade outs on the continuous mix? I find that hard to believe.

For the immersion + seasoned listens, I imagine.

Do we know for certain that there will be visuals at those sessions? Some of the venues, such as Glasgow University Chapel and Judson Memorial Church, don't seem to suit that theory.

I'm assuming erecting a screen in the chapel won't be too much of a stretch, but who knows, maybe it's just audio.

I was thinking that the only difference will be that one will have track IDs and one won't.

There should be visuals. Venue in Barcelona (Phenomena Experience) is literally a movie theater.
