With just under an hour to go I'm calling this just a mix tape, not neccisarrily a dj mixed in set but just a mix tape of other people's work.
As much as I would love 2 hours of unreleased BOC the readily is no one knows. It is all speculation and nothing points to anything else with concrete evidence. Doesn't matter if Warp put BOC at the top of the list, probably just good semantics or using one of the most popular bands on their label to bring the hype.
A mix tape doesn't neccisarrily signify a new album, although it might. The Chemical Brothers have done many mixtapes over the years, some as promotion for an album and other not. Those that do have often included 1 unreleased song. Basement Jaxx did it after Scars/Zepher I believe with mixtapes from the creek (or something similar).
What ever it is, I'm sure it will be pretty fantastic and we will all cherish it (even if outside the context of BOC we would never have given individual pieces a second listen).
Enjoy tonight however you'll be listening to it. I'll personally be spending the first 30 mins to 1 hours with ear plugs doing the washing up. Real world problems!!
