I seriously wouldn't think that they earn that much money. In some interviews I think that they've complained about kids downloading music off the Internet, thus not letting artists profit off of their own work.
Aphex had to play live shows for money and has even released a CD called: 26 MIXES FOR CASH. And Aphex is way more popular than BoC, I think.
Being an artist is not very profitable unless you sign to a big label. Then, even though you get, I dunno? 5% from each CD? you get promoted enough to sell lots of records and earn lots of money

I don't think BOC make music to pay the bills, maybe I'm wrong but I've always had the opinion they don't struggle for cash (don't ask me why lol). I think they are more arguing the point that music is devalued, considered worthless if it is just given out for free.
