If this turns out to be just songs chosen by Boc but not actually by them, that'd be a real kick in the teeth. And no, before the usual "BOC doesn't owe us anything" high horse brigade gets here, I don't feel like I'm owed anything by them but I do feel like we've been deliberately mislead into believing we'd be hearing some boards of Canada tunes here. Unbelievably cynical marketing by Warp here to string us along. They knew full well what we'd all be tuning in for.

I wish to remain neutral, but here is how the situation likely went down in the event that this is purely a mix

These tracks are beautiful regardless of origin, though.
Really, they are. It reminds me of going through my father's record collection ten years back, but with added synths.

You can totally see the influence that last one had on them (the one before the synthpoppy one with the high-pitched vocals), with its unusual time signature and chord progression.

I'm just happy to listen to a couple hours of tunes that's been curated by them, anything else beyond that is a bonus to me.
