Mike (calling from New Zealand): Hey bro, I'm thinking of flying out sometime in the next couple months to start working on some tracks.
Marcus (living in China or Mukhinabaht or somewhere): That's cool, but I won't be able to for at least a few months.
Mike: Alright, Warp has been emailing me trying to get us to work on something. They even got someone who runs our website to put up another blank placeholder.
Marcus: Really? Hope the fans don't notice. They might get disappointed.

I definitely don't believe that their ISN'T a new album. I think the boys would've let us know if they were through.

they wouldn't add a blank space unless it was SUPPOSED to be there. if it was a symmetry thing or a design thing, there would surely be more than one so one would be able to tell if the particular square they were looking at was, in fact, and album or not

I really can't make heads nor tails of the square. I'm basically halfway between optimism and pessimism. I really could believe either the symmetry theory, or the new album theory.
Here's the thing though, if it's a new album then only time will tell.
If it's just a symmetry thing, it's going to be a LONG year for some of you.
I almost wish we didn't speak of it until we get some solid new news.

In case anyone missed it, on the WATMM forum about the box, MDG quoted someone who was saying about BoC having lives.
He said "Life happens to musicians too."
He didn't say "Oh whoops, my bad. We put this on here just to neaten the site up a bit. Sorry for the confusion."

If it was for visual symmetry, why make it so that clicking the black box opens up an ugly empty window? It would just be a static placeholder without any function, at least where I am concerned, the fact that it's opening up onto something means that it's something to be filled with content eventually and not just another square box to make a site pretty.

Symmetry theory?
Cmon, whoever developed that is a f*ckin idiot.
If BoC wanted to "straighten things out" on their website, they would have rearranged the boxes. They would have changed the layout, if they actually wanted to, but everyone knows damn well that they like it all that way.
The fact is that they are doing exactly what they did for TCH and TCHEP(Omg..has anyone ever realised that The Campfire Headphase and Trans Canada Highway have the same abbreviations? )
