Sounds GOOD.....

I'm not gonna read the track-by-track, but the mini review before that is VERY promising...

my initial impression is that this will become the serious Boards of Canada fan's favourite album, but anybody who came in at The Campfire Headphase will probably be opting out. It's an intense, weird, beguiling and deeply complex record and I can't wait to hear it again.

Not going to read any of these reviews. Don't really like ideas being put in my head before I've constructed my own.

EDIT: I have no self control whatsoever. Popped up on my facebook and I couldn't not click it. Glad I did actually, a great article and the new album sounds AMAZING.

That's the only track-by-track review I read due to your comment, and yeah, sounds awesome.

Same here. My hand was shaking and fighting my brain, but I managed to pull it away before I could scroll down to the track-by-track review. Althought I left the page open....

Ok, the page is closed now. And I'll never go back. Never I say!! Well, at least not until I have the album.

And yes, the review prior to the track reviews was a STRONG one...

I read it...I'm sorry brothers I've forsaken you!!!!!!

I literally feel like I'm about to explode, the way the album is described makes it sound like EXACTLY the album I was hoping for.

That being said I'm not reading any more track-by tracks, as I'd like to shape my own thoughts around the album.

I do want to say that I'm not expecting it to "top" the previous albums in any way. In a way, I don't really have a favorite album. They're all my favorite, each for it's own reason. TH will only compliment the others, and stand out on it's own merits. Have to say though, that the aesthetic they're going for with TH is right up my alley.

idk i don't really feel either the Quietus or Uncut really gave a lot away so far
i mean, there's only so much words can say when it comes to boards
interesting read nonetheless

Trying to stop myself reading anything in print about it before i've heard the album. music journalism rarely adds much for me unless its an interview

I'm loving the fact that the description of Jacquard Causeway is pretty much exactly how I pictured it in my head on the name alone.

The last sentence about it in particular has produced so much drool that I will indeed be wading out of my livingroom the next time I need to go for a slash.

i am quietly glad that the Cosecha Transmisiones drone noise wasn't mentioned in the track by track though

I read the track-by-track. He doesn't give many opinions, just describes what they are (whether its beatless/drone, this one samples that, etc) and some of them sound really cool. I'm especially looking forward to New Seeds :)

Didn't read the track reviews, but I second this. Not that it needed seconded, but I agree. We've already heard it, and tbh, it would be a little weak to start the album off with. It's a great teaser score, don't get me wrong, but I feel the album should start off with something else- especially something we haven't heard yet.
