After taking a look at the GPS pic the area isn't as large as I thought...maybe something will happen there. If something does go down wouldn't there need to be some proper set up time. I'd go camp out if I was close...it's not like something will appear from nowhere. Is that drive in closed down? Sorry that may have been addressed before.

Death Valley National Park in the early spring or mid-autumn is great. I have made several trips out there to different parts of the park. It's so big and there is much to see there.

Cool. I would hate to drive out for nothing because the drive back on the end of the holiday weekend could have some heavy traffic.

Relish these times as a fan, this is probably the best a leadup to an album will ever be!

Just got over the biggest hump, which was convincing my wife to join me (couple hour drive). She's going to bring her 5D if anything ends up happening; I'll see some of y'all out there.

Had to read that several times to understand it.
Couple live jazz Boards of Canada covers of mine can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/ntowbinj

Anyone in the Bay Area interested in heading down? This seems a perfect end to finals and I'm crazy enough right now to rent a car and drive 7 hours to Barstow.

If anything that at least seems like a cool place to explore. Be careful though, not sure of the legality of exploring there so just don't have like a pound of coke in your pockets or something in case the fuzz shows up. Oh, and wear sunscreen. And have fun! [/grandma]
