I just had to make this video and try to share it with you all. I noticed people talking about combining the forward version of BoC's beautiful new song with the reversed version, and the side-by-side youtubes sounded and looked synchronous, so i did a proper combination. Forward video is placed above reversed video, and audio is combined.

I really like it. Though I don't know if it was planned, the result is very synchronous both visually and musically. It's really fun that in the direct middle where the timelines intersect and are truly synchronous, the same scene of driving down the road from the AdultSwim transmission is shown.

I highly doubt this was planned, but it sounds insane combined, and in a very cool way. Thanks for experimenting with that. Its really really cool around the 2 min mark on, because its not so obvious that its just a forward and reverse version merged, it sounds like a really cool remix. Especially when the forward beat drops soon after with the reverse pads throughout...fucking rad.

im super baked right now but really that is the coolest damn thing ever. i actually had to listen really closely for a couple of cues but for the majority of the song i couldnt even tell it wasnt the original

glad you all enjoyed it more than anything, i think it shows just how balanced and symmetrical this song is. there aren't many songs you could do this to and get such awesome results. BoC truly gave us a fine example of "music is math" and "the past inside the present."

btw, some favorite parts: 0:50, where the rectangle matches the window; 1:32, looks like the same landscape but viewers are facing opposite directions; 1:44, simultaneous white flash; 2:25 - 2:32, the breath at the middle where paths converge.

Would have been cool if they played the video backwards when they premiered the track in Tokyo so everyone would have been like "WTF?"
