This short was perfect. The return to voice samples is nostalgic, TCH and Trans Canada barely had any vocal samples and seeing as it's also been 8 years, these resurfacing themes are quite fresh and make me feel like BOC is truly back in my life.

The voice itself is actually so dark and menacing. When he counts and it begins to distort and warp, it really tickles the eardrums.

Also, the chord progressions used in Telepath were very beautiful but extremely sad.

For some reason the voice reminds me of John Peel.

Sounds like Aleister Crowley to me.

I mean it really does sound immediately similar.

All I think about is a human controlling a robot telepathically during this one. Love the way it sounds.

I have this song sort of stuck in my head. I keep skipping back to it periodically while listening to the album.

I think I generally tend to find their stuff less creepy than a lot of people do, but this voice is really disturbing but also kind of depressing. The vocals on this album sound like a cry for help lost in time. It really gets to me.

the chord progression in this track makes me feel very depressed myself, very unsettling vibes, but I love that it can have such a powerful effect on me, much like their other music.

While Telepath is creepy I find it to be less musically bleak than some of the other stuff on TH. Not that I don't love that but bleak creates a hard cap on my obsessive listening.

Reminds me of Under the Coke Sign. That is a good thing.

I really cant get over how depressing and sad the chord progression is though... it is a simple progression but.. it's very emotional.

I think the voice itself sounds depressing. Like someone who has gone mad and with desperation and has finally broken.

^ yeah like a dude going mental and mic testing into an Apple on a park bench, and nobody will go near him

I cant wait to hear this again when the album arrives, definitely one of my favourites so far. It captures my imagination. I also think this piece would fit nicely next to 'over the horizon radar'.

During the cold war era, the Russians and Americans were apparently training telepaths for use in spying and to help create deadly weapons (somehow).

You can hear someone else talking in the background too. It sounds to me like he's being told to do something and he can't figure it out.

The vocal sample makes me think of a hypnotist/magician waving a watch back and forth ("You are getting verrryyy sleepy...1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...yes, this is quite close...").

Any ideas where this sample is actually from?
