And it's making a lot of sense so far. Then again I'm really high

Caution here. They didn't say they are nihilists. They said they have become MORE nihilistic, there is I find a substantial difference.

Anyway, very interesting interview which confirmed what some people have been speculating.

lol, on reading that bit of the interview the first phrase that went through my head was "we're gonna f*** you up lebowski!"

Seems pretty obvious to me from the interview that there is a lot more to come from them. Nobody expands their studio for just one more release. And they seem to be back in the zone now after having a break.

Great interview - loved reading it this evening, and already it gives a whole other angle at which to take the album.

Also, the Guardian have their Tomorrow's Harvest review up - plus a new pic!!

"To the uninitiated, Tomorrow's Harvest could seem like a low-key kind of "event" album. It obeys its own private rules and, despite giving dubstep the occasional polite nod of acknowledgement, deepens rather than broadens the duo's existing sound."

LOL?

I also had this feeling during the stream play when tracks Come to Dust and Semena Mertvykh were played, but didn't pay much attention to that so far. Now after reading the interview it gives another look...

Also someone asked which track is the one splitting the LP sides - isn't Colapse more obvious then before?

rainier wrote: It's like a mirror image on either side. How are they so great? Sorry I'm being an obnoxious fan, I'm just seriously so in love with this album.

:) I like the "mirror" concept rather than a "twin" for each track. It's more towards ambiguity and the "other side of mirror" world.

And this had me LOL

The degree of obsessive analysis and theorising on the fan forum Bocpages.org/wiki would shame a Talmudic scholar.

Based on the context of the sentence they use, I kind of think they meant to say Twoism....Not much speculation goes on on bocpages, it's all facts (as far as we know). Still great it got a mention though.

V good point. Sent a tweet to Louis Pattison (the interviewer) to point that out.

Yeah, WTF was that.... How could anyone in their right mind say TCH was disappointing. Everyone has their own opinions, sure, but damn, that album is impeccable, lush and beautiful. I find it impossible to hear otherwise.

i thought that bit was spot on. it was a huge disappointment for a lot of people, myself included. even of those who weren't disappointed, most probably wouldn't rank it higher than their other albums.

given the use of the word "obsessive" i'm not sure the mention is meant to be *entirely* complimentary . . .

I like they didn't do the "people should just listen to the album and take it for what it is, it's just music bla bla bla". Instead they are clearly really excited to see how we decipher it and if we can crack all their codes.

I bet you two are on here every now and again to see how we are doing - Thanks for the album, it's great!

well . . . it's an opinion that's stated rather definitively, as though the album was universally disappointing, which is far from the truth (see here: http://www.metacritic.com/music/the-campfire-headphase/boards-of-canada for example.) but this is a common journalistic conceit that i've noticed in reviews - the tendency to re-write history and tarnish an artist's previous work to make their new release more triumphant. it makes for a more interesting article, i guess. you've seen it before, no doubt: "after so-and-so's dismal last album, this new effort is a breath of fresh air" (etc etc.) at which point i usually think "oh, were we not supposed to like that last album? i had no idea."
