we have received a lot of offers, especially from festivals. However, if we decided to di a live show, we want to do something special. in fact I confess that lately we have begun to think of it as a feasible hypothesis is, and we started to work on it.

MIKE: Quite much. Perhaps enough to make another album or even two, even if we're talking of raw stuff that still needs much work on. This is absolutely normal for us, you know, the same happened with the previous albums. Maybe part of this unused material will somehow see the light someday. We can't exclude that.

They really love to tease us, don't they…

"is there something from Campfire Headphase that does not satisfy you anymore today?"
"is "Tomorrow's Harvest" a good album?"
THESE are the questions deemed worthy of asking when given the rare opportunity to talk to the band directly?
i like how marcus puts the interview in his place though in regards to the first question:
"Making a new album which sounds different from the previous one doesn't mean disowning the predecessor, right?"
exactly!
and isn't there some subtle "campfire" bashing in the magic RPM interview as well? what is wrong with these journalists?

I agree - some pretty childish, zine-like questions in this one. The translation might take a slice of the charm away, though.North by North wrote:Basefree wrote:Boards themselves seem to be very reluctant to being interviewed though, at least around this TH era, so let's not put all the blame on journalists. Yeah- I do think the interview formula is there- don't give it away, tease this and that, declining to answer, etc. Would make it hard on a journalist. I do still think this could have had better questions- a little more creativity, insight into new territories (even safe ones). But yeah, it's not easy I'm sure.

MIKE: A couple of old synths, that we really loved so much, died during the recording. At that point we opted for what any insightful and smart person would have done: we replaced them with older, even more shabby synths. Smart move, isn't it? Speaking in general, we actually did a deep research on the audio equipments that were commonly used for movie soundtracks during the 80s... and le'ts say we really worked hard on this. We've lost our heads on this matter, perhaps we've exaggerated a bit, maybe we took this a bit too maniacally. But aside from this, for the sequencers we decided to rely only on hardware, withouth softwares: you can't imagine what a relief it was to get rid of all those grids on screen teling you what to do and when to do it.

So does that mean they didn't use software, even to track it out?
