Tomorrow's Harvest and Music Has the Right to Children sound great when put together... of course you can't simply play them together but will also have to match tempos too.

Here's something I just did for fun - Aquarius, Uritual, and Nothing is Real - https://soundcloud.com/lichtenberg-1/no ... ix/s-464W1

Let me know what you guys think.

The Nothing is Real fade-in doesn't fit with Aquarius at all. I think if they meant the albums to be listened to simultaneously, then they would have at least made the tempos match themselves instead of making fans do it.

How does it not fit with Aquarius at all? They use the same key and the beats syncopate interestingly together... I'll admit, not the prettiest thing in the world, but pretty damn close. I think if you consider that both Music Has the Right to Children and Tomorrow's Harvest are roughly the same length and have the same number of tracks (17) my theory isn't that far fetched.

I merely just want to share what I found when mixing the albums together, but I understand, it doesn't sound 100 percent perfect. I don't think BoC wanted to make it easy for us to hear the connection, but there are plenty of hints like in the beginning of Nothing is Real, for example, samples from Turquoise Hexagon Sun.

Here's another mix I did that in my opinion sounds a bit better than the Aquarius one, check it out if you'd like.

Since I've been getting consistently negative feedback from online folks (the only person that seems to agree with me are my friends LOL) I'll keep working on this theory for a while - I've spent some pretty late nights mulling over this.

Last post of my mix's. I wanted to make these private on soundcloud so this is the only way I can share.

It doesn't work. I mean, it sounds okay, but it's an uncomfortable listening experience. The tracks certainly weren't designed to be mixed together.

On You Could Feel The Sky @ 2:13-14 & 2:16-17 you can hear a voice say "you toyed with us.....you toyed with us...". Freaky...

The melody that plays after the second half of Macquarie Ridge. Only noticed that a few days ago.

It's good enough to distract you from the things THAT "Really Matter"!

That bits at the start of 'we've started up' are replicated in the breakdown of 'You could feel the Sky".

not got enough time to work out which bits at the moment though...

Macquarie Ridge is an homage to William Basinski

https://youtu.be/9UBWgeSJlWw?t=4m5s

The second half of Macquarie Ridge (a tune I've always liked very much) after the harp runs, is a complete reconstruction of the Disintegration Loops 6. I noticed while listening tonight that the harmony was very similar.. listened to them side by side and yep they're actually the same key so there's very little doubt the boards bros were paying homage here. nice work boys!

apologies if it's been suggested before.

The similarities have been mentioned a few times on here. At one point it was suggested that they sampled it, which MDG confirmed they did not. As for a re-creation or homage you really do have to wonder due to how similar they are. Either way, both are amazing.

Recently I realised the sample of "yellow" on Music is Math is actually present throughout the track though it only plays in full once. Also a small curiosity, the backwards sample mentioning David Koresh in 1969 always stands out for me because in Spanish the name David is pronounced exactly how it sounds backwards on this track, so you can hear his name without reversing it.

That's pretty cool, I wonder if they realized that when they reversed it?

"One two three four five, six seven eight nine ten. Now in Spanish, then in French, say that twice again!"

And 1969 just happens to be track TEN! :o

on the right channel you can hear a faint "help us". Sounds like a choir or somethin.
this thread is full of shenanigans.

I love how the sliding between chords on Hey Saturday sun is carefully timed to the music and becomes a part of the percussion as a result.

Curious now, what do you hear?
Is there a sample source in there or something?
