I noticed towards the end of Palace Posie as the song begins to wind down, as the main keyboard pattern fades, in the right channel, there is a muffled bassy riff of opposite notes that the right channel is playing in full spectrum... it sort of sounds rubbery and deliberately hidden in the low-mid band range... now I cannot un-hear this haha...

There's what sounds like a child singing at 5:18 of In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country. There's also some buzzy delayed thingies that are really low in the mix and start coming in around 5:27. It sounds like children's breaths are mixed into the track that start at 0:00 and are played throughout the track. They kind of mimic the rhythm of the slide projector noises (or whatever they are) that support the rhythmic section in Kid For Today.

Boards of Canada - Aquarius.

At some point I started hearing a voice saying "Orange" here and there.

There's a high pitched buzzing that fades in and out all throughout "One Very Important Thought". Never knew why I didn't realize that until a couple days ago.

also in sixtyten whenever the "Whatcha doin/watcha" sample comes in right after there's a very faint sound of either talking, tape of the "watcha" sample whirring back or another part of the original song that the "watcha" part was sampled from.

Throughout most the first half of ‘Nothing Is Real’ there’s an element which sounds like primitive time-stretching, most noticeable around 0:30 when it’s introduced. The artifacts of the process are generating most of the texture and pitch that we can hear from it. I wouldn’t go as far to say that they are time-stretching nothing here, but I would guess that the source is a quiet atmosphere of sorts rather than anything overtly musical. Yet the artifacts themselves do kind-of have a crushed melody to them after all when you listen in.

Yeah, they're definitely sampling or using time stretched cymbals or hihats, I love that aspect of the track.

I got new headphones recently. Made me hear Heard from Telegraph Lines in a different way. It has a beat, of sorts. Now it sounds like one part (the main part you hear) is the soloed part of a mix and the rest of the track, a much bigger arrangement, is kind of playing in another room. The first chord I can kind of hear a new bah-bahh part to it. The stupid part of my brain then starting thinking that BoC have been uploading subtly different versions of their tracks over the years. (Wouldn't that give everyone the bends. Tee hee!)

I noticed if you take a handful of LSD, they are really, just good fucking musicians. They don't fuck with us. They are above us. You can't stop looking at this forum, hoping and waiting, you might call them gods.

I mean I think they are just trying to convey how we are destroying this beautiful world while simultaneously looking at it through a screen. Maybe? I don't know. I'm gonna take a break for awhile.

I pointed this out on the BoCpages article a little while ago (without making an account because I couldn’t be bothered), but A03 on R35TT has the drum loop from June 9th and A08. It’s kinda buried in the mix but it’s the basis for that “whirly” effect that starts at around 46 seconds in. It’s much clearer on the oliveoil22 remaster, but now it’s one of those things that I can’t unhear.

The doo-doo-dii low tom like-sounds in the middle of Dayvan Cowboy
The woman saying "hello" or "yellow" in the middle of Alpha and Omega
The extreme timestretched vocals running in the background of Nothing Is Real

Also, Dayvan Cowboy is a 6-bar loop, not the usual 8-bar that makes it sound unique

tbh, probably just a coincidence but TH album opens all its hidden sounds in DTS:Neo on 5.2.2+ and more systems. I know this album was made as a soundtrack to a movie in mind, but uhhhh.... That works too. Nice mastering and no glitches, it just sounds perfect actually on neo unlike all albums from other artists, lol.

Does not work on MHRTC and Geogaddi, tho in Geogaddi at Sunshine Recorder with neo mode I heard a hidden synth I never heard. It starts in the middle of the song and it's kinda cheerful to me. Now I hear this even on stereo

My point is, I am not saying that virtualizing sound is what probably boc would care about, but this scenario helps to hear more stuff independently

TONS of false notes in warp10-08, which I noticed after listening to the 36mm recording
You’re always on a war with yourself, you’re just used to it.
